I liked fall of the Jedi / republic or rise of the empire / sith. Actually Revenge of the Jedi wasnt the original name of Ep. 6. I have an issue of SW Insider that explains it all. When Fox asked Lucas what the name was so that they could make a press release, he told them that Revenge of the Jedi was ONE of the several he was considering. Fox then went ahead and began merchandising with this name. When Lucas found out he told them to stop and they did. As to why he did not pick Revenge of the Jedi for the name, it is quite simple. the orginal title of ep6 was revenge of the jedi and then he changed it to return of the jedi (im not sure on the reason) and then he chose to use the title revenge of the sith to ep3 becourse it was perfect for that movie becourse thats were the siths get revenge _______________ bye all i had a great time here i will never forget it i really gonna miss u all |

umm well, the Sith and the Jedi have been fighting for thousands of years. The jedi finally wiped out all but a few of the Sith. Thats when the "Rule of Two" started. The Sith have been trying to Destroy the Jedi since then. Darth Sidious and Anakin (Darth Vader) turn the tables and wipe out all but a few Jedi. So hence the name. Originally Return of the Jedi was titled as Revenge of the Jedi. There were posters and scripts written with the title Revenge of the Jedi. Eventually George realized that title wasnt exactly fiting so he changed it to Return of the Jedi. Fans guessed that the new title would be Revenge of the Sith mainly because it is such and homage to the original title of ROTJ. It kinda just made sense to call it that. Before he named it Revenge of the Sith it was supposed to be Revenge of the Jedi and then he's like Jedi don't seek revenge so i'll change it to sith. but (with the exception of Jedi don't seek revenge) jedi makes more sense do to the fact that the Sith are beating them in the war for the most part but then again Sith makes since cuz they had to stay in hiding for like ever and want revenge cuz the Jedi were sorta the strongholds for the Republic for over a thousand years. _______________ Be strong & brave.Don't ever be afraid.
