Sorry for the slow reply, I've been offline for a while. Having one Primary teacher is an excelent thing, but you'll note that I said primary, and because we are all here to learn ... you will find no shortage of people who will pass on what they know = we all take every oportunity to learn that we can. Another point is that I didn't activley seek out Sared to be my master, heck I wasn't actually activley looking at all, I was just having a good time and making friends. That changed a bit when Sared mentioned to me that he was looking for some Padawan's (full time students)  suddenly I was all ears .I guess what I'm trying to get at here is though Sared is my 'Teacher of choice' ( after all I didn't have to say yes and he didn't have to bring the subject up ) I'm still learning from all my other friends online too - Knights & otherwise (for a very fast lesson on humility try Dueling Tido  ).I'm learning lots, and we are having fun in the process - which is afterall why we all came here to begin with. It's pretty cool were like a big family. Sared and I get along great and he is awesome to hang out with and a very good teacher. Most importantly though we have a good connection and we can talk. Being a Padawan isn't anything that special. All it really means is you have a personal trainer instead of having to go to classes all the time. But in a way, it feels good knowing that someone cares enough to actually do that for you, and wants to see you succeed. By the way, I know you didn't say anything to me about this, but I was looking through profiles and noticed a few of your posts on the subject, and thought I'd add my 2 cents. _______________ - Proud padawan of Kueller. - We really are at the beginning of it all. Hey Dino. Well in May I believe I was very fortunate in becoming Obi-wan's padawan. I had gotten to know him over the weeks and he had been helping me with my techniques. I guess he liked my attitude and found me a good friend and student, so he teleported me to the 'padawan room', dueled me a couple of times, and then asked if I would like to be his padawan. I, of course, couldn't say no  . As far as how it feels...um, well I guess its a pretty good feeling . I have a lot of good friends here, and he is one of them. I owe him a lot for what I know about the game and for my style. If you are interested in him being your master, that's find...just realize that it takes time to get to know someone. Introduce yourself to him in the servers, duel him, ask him questions. Over the course of weeks if you feel like you and him are getting to like eachother and you like his teaching style, then it may be time to ask him at that point. On a side note: it's not really a big deal, you are welcome to keep your name as it is. But having the last name of 'Kenobi' is kind of confusing to some folks and may make them think that you are already Obi's padawan. I hope to see you on the servers in the future, and good luck! |

Usually you reply to things people say to you on their profiles, that way they know you've replied. Some people don't check profiles they posted on for answers because they assume it will be posted on theirs. Just a little tip. |

Piano, awesome. Three of my buds play piano, one r0x0rz. I don't have a master yet, Dino. The best way to go about getting a master is to first train on your own with fellow players, you may meet some knights/trainers/masters around, and they may get interested with you. Attend a lot of classes and finally after posting in the thread labeled looking for a master in Academy discussion, approach someone who you feel should be your master. You need to know them well and have perhaps attended some of their classes so he/she knows your level of skill. Welcome to the Academy. I'm a student just like you! If you have any questions, just drop me or anyone else a message. I'm sure someone else will post a BIG post regarding the Academy, I'm here to simplify it heh First, check out the rules (read everyone)and the holocron (that's a place of our Academy knowledge of JA combos, moves, tips, etc) Second, check out the servers and classes. D/l needed levels and mods if you wish. Do not d/l the Academy v4, it will cause an unpure pk3 client error.  Third, Read up and post on the forums and chat in the irc channel we have on the site.
