Thanks to Jacen I found a place to host my program which is, of course, our own JA-Server.
So I first want to thank Jacen for uploading it for me. Without him, I would not be posting right here:D

Next, I'd like to thank n00b for helping me with the code on several occassions.
Also, I'd like to thank Kidware for their continued guidance and assistance when writing this program.
And last but not least, I'd like to thank Fizz, who showed me how to do a custom path.

And now a small story of how and why I wrote this program.

In June I had a Visual Basic exam coming up. Now, I was the one who explained the biggest part to two entire classes, since our teachers really couldn't :P
So, the day before the exam, I really wasn't studying. If I knew it well enough to explain it, I could do it anyday. But since my parents were nagging like... female dogs, I had to at least have the appearance of doing stuff with VB. At this moment, I was doing my Welcome Messages, so you can see where the idea came from. I worked alot, Googled alot, found a lot of help, and expanded like hell.

Now, almost two months later I'm releasing this to the public, which at first I had not even intended. I was coding for my own pleasure, and then I figured I might as well release my hard work.

So without further a due, this is it.

First, a few notes:

- Don't forget to unzip before you install. Otherwise it'll have some funky error.
- Read the Readme
- Don't mind the FAQ yet, that was just a passtime because I was bored :P
- Any problems whatsoever, contact me here, or mail me: BailHope@gmail.com

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- An OS like Windows (any Windows will do, I'm told)
- Some RAM would be nice (like 1 MB?:P)
- A mouse
- A Keyboard
- Notepad
- A Computer Screen
- A video card that can handle showing ... stuff :P
And that'll do :P

Thank you for trying it out.
Any suggestions, please place them here for my reading-enjoyment :P

The Following Stuff is still being worked on:
A Skin-selector (thanks to Garos)
A Delete button (for deleting links, and engagements)
A search function to search your links and engagements
A notice when you should attend something (a class, a meeting, w/e)

I'm sorry I haven't replied directly.
Things have been in the hizzy over here.

Well, I agree Cmad.
So, I'm going to put him down somewhere in the middle.
Also, I'll be moving all really important stuff to the top.

I might just make a search function for it, or something like that, we'll see.

Quite frankly and with all the respect I have towards Vladarion, I don't think he should be on top of the FAQ. I'm quite sure no new member that's looking at the FAQ would want to learn about Vladarion more than he/she would want to get an answer to a question such as "I can't get the password right" or "Server is for low pings?" and stuff like that.

So IMO first we should put the server related info, and then any additional JA info.

EDIT: As a matter of fact, I'm not sure if Vladarion should be put in that FAQ at all... He was my friend too, but I'm just saying what I believe is more correct.

* shrugs *

BTW: I'll be gone in 2-2.5 hrs so I might not see the replies to this (if any)

oh btw, I forgot to mention

If you would like to see an answer to the Answering Machine added, you can just say, that's like 5 minute's work for me, so...:)

Also, I just added the Bug-control fellow:P
If a file is missing, you'll get the option to make new empty files, or exit (in which case you'll have to reinstall...)

I'm proud of myself :D

Any other comments from anyone?

well, as for the JAK+ function, its weird.

Its kinda hard to get people to report their nicknames, & profile IDs, and note them down its kinda hasseling, along with taking care of the class and whatnot fancy JAK+ business is. ;)

So I generally think this is not a good idea.

I meant on the Classes page :P
not in the class itself

oh well, whatever :)

So... if any of you JAK+ do have a say about something that could be useful, feel free to drop me a line here :D

Quote:
A thing I'm still thinking of is a JAK+ function, which allows entering those who are enrolled in your class, along with their profile number. Then after the class, you can easily report if they have been bad or good with selective buttons, or whatever. If any JAK+ are interested in this, please say so, and I'll pursue this project further. Also if you have any suggestions for it -> feel free to post them here or mail them to me BailHope@hotmail.com

mmm, yeah, I remember. I was too lazy to add a nice message, so I just exit Sub'd
I'll put one in :)

the Welcome message part thingy is still accesible thru the Menu bar, but its not there ;)

Yeah I know, everyone reported that one lol. That's fixed :)

there is no error handling, iE when a file is missing or damaged, theres just the VB error, no message box that tells u whats wrong exactly.

the answering machine doesnt answer anything if u dont enter a Name.

the Welcome message part thingy is still accesible thru the Menu bar, but its not there ;)

ah... wonderful... so I'm not the only one who's having that problem?

Edit: turn the option 'Use Folder Names' of.
That seems to fix it.
You can find this option in the Extract screen to the bottom right

Edit2: No it doesn't. Just bear with it. I found the fault, the next .zip won't have the problem anymore:P
