After reading a lot of new people's takes on how they think the Academy could be “improved” I was reminded of these great news posts. Several new people are talking about how the point system is flawed and basically complaining that they are not being recognized as the uber leet players that they are. The Academy is not here so that we can recognize someone’s great game skill. I think reading these two news threads might help some of the newer people understand the history of the Academy and why things are the way they. As a new member, it’s not a bad idea to go back through a lot of the old news. It might help you make more informed posts. Especially if you just want to whine and complain. At least know what you are whining and complaining about.

Sorry to keep posting but I just found this AWESOME news post by none other than DJ Sith that fits this subject nicely:
