Hey there everyone. Those who joined the Academt more than a month ago might remember an old thread I posted, to tell everyone I was back from a long period of absence. Ever since, I haven't been on for quite a long period of time. Why? Well, simply put, my router died on me. I guessed I would get it fixed quite soon, so I didn't bothered posting about it, but I ended up waiting for almost a whole month. Just a couple of days ago, I had finally gotten my internet back. After pretty much one day of it, the new router died on me as well, in the exact same way the other one did. There seems to be a pattern, so fixing this problem will almost certainly take way longer than the time needed to replace it. Saying I feel like biting someone's head off is an understatement, but there is pretty much nothing to do about it, so I guess I'll just warn you people who know me not to get worried. I'll get back eventually, and I still have internet in my parent's comp (which is unfortunately way too slow to actually allow me to play on it). You'll need way more than a few buggy routers to get rid of me  *EDIT* WAHOO! AND, TAKE OFF! I'm typing this from my own computer, right now. God it feels so good to finally have that damn router back. And by the way, I finally figured out what the problem was... From now on, I'll try not to touch that "reset" button at the back of the router. ... ... ... Yeah, embarassing indeed Anyway, and to end the meaningless ramble, I should be hanging around the Academy when I finally get rid of all the maths homework. I have to admit - i did summat much more stupid than that with my router: I plugged the phone line into the LAN port instead of the DSL one. It took me hours to figure out why the darn thing wouldn't work....  _______________ This is not the place to look for me |

Yea they are... I had a router which gave me high ping on all WP Servers...although ive got low ping on all other EU Servers...just high ping on those WP Servers. I know what you mean. I have a router that disconnects from the ISP every few days. Routers seem to be very buggy! |
