I know I've made it clear before, but I do feel that I have been shallow and self-centered recently. I have found some reasons for this:
First off, United Airlines is facing some hard times. This stresses me out. Also, some haven't focused on this, but that's OK, but I am still sick from something the doctors cannot yet identify, after 18 months of having it. It proves to be painful, so I waver between being pissed about it, and being depressed about it. So for those two reasons, being self-centered, taking jabs at other members, even jokingly, and being lees-than-humble, all seem like decent solutions to making me feel better. They did in some part, but the principle is still the same, and I cannot give up who I am to make myself feel better. I've really valued who I have become. In an effort to make clear who I am, I'm just going to take a short moment to honor a friend of mine, who is graduating this month. She has been vital in shaping me into the person that most of you feel is superb. I know DJ said that my attitude has always been tip top, and well, a year ago, my attitude was one that would have gotten me kicked from many servers. If there is a light and dark side to the universe, I was on the dark. I just thought I was light. And I screwed a lot up and ended up relocating. But this friend, despite that "dark side", stuck by me and tought me basically all of the principles I pass onto you, either directly or indirectly. so as we here honor the accomplishments of our Masters, I likewise honor her, as sort of my "Jedi Master". Heh, she'd get a kick out of that. Hector Thrawn knows her, he'd agree. So really, she has been a real mentor too me, and I know I will miss her. So, well, that was my deep part. I guess I've also been self-centered because this friend is departing, so I'm sorta broadcasting a "look at me! Whoohoo!! Be my friend!!" But really, there's two main flaws with that. One, you guys are already friends, in whatever capacity you can be, which leads to Two. YOU GUYS ARE ALL OVER THE WORLD!! Coming together on the internet. How can you really be a friend I need? But not to sound sour, but here's where I would add, ala mIRC style: Ulic slaps self with large trout Plus, I've enough friends, like Hector, who I can fight in my basement, Fight Club style. Although we should remedy the common "lying in a fetal position on the floor" results. Yeah, too much pain. So anyways...that's what I got. And I'm working on acknowledging what flaws I have. p.s. That friend of mine, I might have her visit this page, so if you want to be nice and honor my "Jedi Master" (lol), leave a salute to MRB here on this page. You can do it whatever fun style you like. And I need to remember my own salute to MRB. MRB, you really are great. And you will probably see soon enough that a large walk of people, from all over the world (Like Bubu, from Japan) will be thanking you for what you have instilled in me. I know the admin here really like my attitude, and it's really a reflection of things I have developed with my friendship with you. Also make note, MRB, that I hope to have people around that will continue to be my "Jedi Master" Heh. But really, I'll need something to take care of what you were there for. sorry to do this but...
no you didnt teach me everything i know. i learend several of the kendo basics (although i am admitiably bad at them) from my bro. i also have made up a couple things on my own (although they need refining). you have, however, been a decent practice partern and have shown me a few new things. |

Hector should also make note that most of whatever combat techniques/sword techniques he knows were taught to him by myself, and that anything else he learned through other sources, I likewise know, plus more.
This just shows who is unwise for picking on the one that taught the techniques. And also that I am close enough to give you a beatdown, boy! I take pleasure in guttin' you, boy! You are forgetting that it merely takes me 10 minutes to get from my computer to wherever your are, so... You are really the only Academy meber I can smaak around in real life. ;Þ So if you're not wise, then you can't call me unwise, so that makes me, well, not ugly at least....hehe Btw, I styled my hair differently. I didn't have any self-esteem problems, but I look a lot better. Not like that Hector guy. (note: you can pick on Hector like this when you have been frineds for 10 years, becasue either you don't mean it, or it just doesn't affect him anymore) _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. actually if we take v-mans position on this by
saying you are wise skilled and humble you could not possibly be humble. FURTHERMORE, you cant be wise, otherwise you would not have done that (knowing that i would probably say somthing about it) and someone with skill never makes 2 such similar mistakes in 1 post. so you are... ugly!!!!

Well, I guess I have been tooting my own horn, to feel better abou things, but yeah, that's not me.
As for the humility bit, you miss the pun. The moment one claims to be humble, is the same moment they lose their humility. So my saying "I'm HUMBLE!" Just shows that I'm not being humble. It's kinda a joke. Ho hum. And spawn, that thing with DJ being the Academy Maid, that was an inside joke and all. Perhaps I should leave inside jokes, well, inside. But I'll grow up now. Ulic, you are beccomming more of a hipocrit everyday. I thought being Humble, you wouldent really talk about yourself. So, you saying that your wise, skilled and humble, only makes yourself wise and skilled. catch my drift?

lol i'm glad you seem in a better mood than before. in school today i told everyone how great united was when i flew it once... hehe it wasn't all that bad really. i hope they can make it out of this mess. anyway, i will be changing my pic soon (as soon as massa posts it). it should be cooler.

But if it's on Kejim or something, sorry, I really can't race around the galaxy to find YOUR lightsaber when I keep losing MINE. Well, the Academy is fun, so that'll make things better.
If anyone knew me in real life (or knows any pilots), my father makes plenty of money as is. So if they cut him waaaaay back (over 50% pay cut) then we're really screwed. Or if he loses his job. My father obviously has more insight to all of this, and he also lost his job with Pan Am way back when they went bankrupt. He did make it clear that United owes around 800 million, but has 1.2 billion in the bank, plus what they own. So they are filing for PROTECTION, and have a real good shot at getting back on their feet. Versus other businesses that file for Chapter 11 when they don't even have the ability to pay them back. United can pay their debt, but it would just royally screw them. So this doesn't seem as bad. So long as they get back on their feet. If you really want to help me out, just have people look at United Airlines in a good light. If people just don't like United, or don't even want to consider flying them, then they are screwed, and my family is screwed. I'm not asking everyone to fly United now, but just don't give up on them, because then you're giving up on me and a lot of other people too. I would hope I've taught you enough to not give up on people. That seems like the best idea I have now. I've never really shown a bad side, but this is where it'll show.
I have my cellphone set up to alert me with breaking news. 7:12 this morning, it goes off: United Airlines files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. For those of you that haven't followed me, or haven't really read my 100th comment below, my father flies for United Airlines. This would screw us a bit, you think? So toss back some of that Christmas eggnog, people, for all of us just let the terrorists win. Whooo-hoooo! We cared too damn much about ourselves, that we were too ingorant of what the real problems were. A major airline declared the larget airline bancruptcy ever. So they won because we just didn't give a damn. And what I have to say is: how is my family NOT a victim of September 11th? You give money to some 23-yr-old girl who worked in a coffee shop on the 42nd floor of the WTC, who lost her job because the toweres fell. She is able, but will never have to work again. So where's OUR f%(#ing money? I'll probably need to give up my apartment, and my cable modem first. So that means, thanks, I'm a Knight, but you won't see me again. $h1t, I might not even get to do my final semesters of college. We run a decent risk of not getting enough to keep our house. So thanks, America. Merry Christmas to you too. This is EXACTLY what I wanted for the holidays. Hope the rest of you enjoy it. _______________ Jedi do not fight for peace. hehe during ulic's trial, he went through a ff duel with aayla, and when he threw his lightsaber at him, it never came back. he had to kill himself eventually. so dj decided to make him the head of the lightsaber lost&found department. lol
