If you really want to get better, getting a master isn't always your best bet. Usually if you just hop on the servers you can almost always find some kind of help from a student or JAK+. And if nobody is on, just wait 10-15 minutes and someone is sure to get on by that time  . And taking classes does help too . But if you really do want a master, I would suggest hanging out, being nice and active etc.. And you should also check this forum from time to time to see if anyone is wanting to take on a padawan.
