first i realized today i had lent my JK2 disk out over W-break, and have not gotten it back yet. however that problem should be remedied soon...

and i would prefer that no one address me as "sir" unless they feel it absolutly neccesary, it gives me that evil feeling of power.

HEY! Hector is back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for all of you who talked at me thanks for not getting mad about my silence, i was gone on christmas break and my house has a VERY bad connection (pluse my parents dont like having the phone lines tied up) so i was not able to get to the academy at all :( However i have returned with much more knowledge about starwars than when i left (i finished dark journy, enemy lines I and II) so i now have a bit more "book" knowledge of exactly how the force works. i'll see if i can get on the servers any time soon so that even the worst of you can win at least once.

Well I guess that is one way to get him to smile. I tryed to leave a comment in his profile to cheer him up but I don't think it worked.
PS: I do agree that the curve on katanas do give it a very unique look.

first things first,

yes the katana in the second pic. is very similar to the one that i am holding in my pic

second, yes, i saw the pic of the ninja sword, i myself prefer katanas because they are easier to draw and they look cooler because of the curve (although i will admit that i have a few straight blades too and they are awsome) but because it [the katana] is relativly straight it is still practical

third, ulic will be smiling this christmas, even if it means knocking him sensless with a 2x4 and then using wires to give him an artifical smile... although i doubt it will come to that. (hehe).

last i leave on wed for my home... which has a really crappy connection so if i dont respond to something before mid-january dont be offended, i am probably as annoyed by it as you.

My bad I thought he was looking for swords in general. Katanas are cool but if I had a sword I would chose a ninja sword because I like straight blades.
PS: Did you at least see the sword in my link?

Haha! That other sword looks like Hector's cheap-ass katana (like the cheap thing in his picture........the SWORD, not the person)

Now I need to decide on either the Katana or the Ninja. Hmmm...but I like the guard on the ninja sword, and I have very few-straight blades, and two katanas already...hmmmm.....

Any votes, weigh in at my profile. And while you're there, give props to MRB like everyone else. You'll see what I mean when you go there.

Okay here we go: They are both well crafted and good balanced. (At least i think so, i'm not fighting with em, just doing some basic swings.) The only critic point i'd have is the blade of the Katana. If you hit something solid you hear a slight ringing sound inside the handle as if it's not properly fitted in there. But this might be only with mine. But other than that there were no flaws in the design and they look reall really great. (Allthough i prefer the Katana more than the Ninja.)
P.s: http://members.chello.at/shannonknight/Pictures/swords.jpg Here you can see my first sword. (The one under the Samurai 3000 Katana) It's a cheap, not well crafted thing from Italy, but it has some sentimental worth for me since it was the first i ever bought.

ooohhh samurai 3000 collection (- the tanto), very nice. BTW, how sturdy are they, i had considered buying one, but i dont want to spend that much if it isnt going to hold up.

actually i feel your pain. in millwaukee the nearest kendo classes are too far for me to make them regularly and there is no other form of sword combat taught. however i do know a couple basics (thanks to "ulic" and my brother). so i guess i still have it better than you. sorry.

thanks for the comments on my profile, figured I'd leave you one back =P. I'm also interested in swords, but unfortunately there are no kendo or iaido classes in my city:( Norway is kinda lame like that. Anyway... keep on doing whatever you people with swords do (training, I guess:))
