The net install is pretty much a no brainer. You go through all your normal install options, and instead of saying you want to install by CD-ROM say you want to install by FTP. It'll ask you for an IP address, subnet mask, gateway, and DNS servers for your NIC, and then you select which server you want to download from. There are plenty over the world for you to choose from. FreeBSD should install like normal, and once you get your system up and running you can see what's up with that cd drive.  _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

What kind of CD Rom drive do you have? How is it connected to your system? If you have a fast pipe I'd do a net install.. its easier IMO and no need to burn big ol' ISO's. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |
