Wow, i'm very sorry to hear that. I just hope she pulls through. Things can only get better once the treatment starts, right? But wow, that's awesome about the teaching job! Little kids are so much fun, hahah. My sister in law and my neice came to visit me and Carol yesterday, and it was awesome. The lil' one just wanted to beat me up and kept asking me questions about the Navy. They're awesome. I wish I was a little kid again! Oh well, i'll always be a kid at heart. But yeah, things with the Navy are going well. I completed my new entry training, which is just basic training, a little while ago. I still have to do my training for the job i'll be doing (Weapons technician in the Submarine service). I can't wait for that, it's going to be so exciting. I'll also be learning more in-depth knowledge and practical skills relating to submarines, plus plenty of physical training. I'm not a trainee anymore though, so i'll probably be treated a bit better... and the food will be better too! omg, funny story. They fed us utter garbage most of the time, right? I mean, every now and then, we'd have a good meal, but usually it wasn't really great. Don't get me wrong, we ate it anyway, we needed the bloody energy, but still! Well, last Monday morning, before our passing in parade, one of the officers gave us a speech and told us this was our reward for our hard work. Bacon, sausages, toast, eggs, you name it! I was like, WOAH! You had this all along?! I wanna talk to the chef! Hahah, but yeah. Very much looking forward to it. The best is yet to come. Hope you're doing well! How's Jeff? I haven't seen him around the JA site. |
