I'm planning on learning Spanish once I get out of public school. I would've chosen it, if not for the extremely ridiculous thing that they only offer French here, whereas Spanish, a far more spoken language, and also the biggest holidayspot (Spain, and its islands) for Danes. I think it's just ironic that we can get French, which we won't need as much as Spanish. But yeah, I wouldn't mind learning Latin either, no matter how dead it is. Spanish, Latin, and Elvish, are all on my wishlist for new languages to learn. Us Scandinavian/Northern European people really gotta learn at least two languages, though I think just about everyone learn 3. Danish is pretty much a rip off of German, which was then ripped off by Swedish, and especially Norwegian. Feh.... everybody should be talking Danish! Hey, now, no need to bash my German skills.... did I ever say I spoke it GOOD? The 4th language is French, but I'm extremely terrible at that, since I've only had it since September or so. And no, I haven't really tried those thingies... mostly because several of them contain lovely AMERICAN expressions such as nikkels, dimes, gallons, etc, which I have never heard being used in Danish. Also, I'm not very fond of timepressure. |
