Over the past few months it has become apparent to the Jedi Academy's senior staff that the apparently tragic events that lead to countless tributes being made to Vladarion and his memory have turned out to be untrue.
With this in mind, the JA has opted to remove Vladarion from the Hall of Fame. Action in regards to the "the_academy_v3" map memorial will be taken at a later date. On behalf of all of the JA's administrative staff involved, I would like to apologise to all of those affected by the initial events which took place in 2003 and lead to the various tributes made. The JA believed all correspondence in regards to Vladarion's apparent death to be genuine and sincere. We have created a thread containing the aforementioned which can be used for discussion in regards to this matter. Keep ALL discussion of this matter on the thread in the aforementioned link. Any new threads on any section of the forums regarding this will be closed. Any posts made on this profile or anywhere else found to be in violation of the JA rules will be deleted and the poster will face official warning or closure of their site account. Flaming, disrespect, trolling or any other rule infractions will not be tolerated and dealt with accordingly. This is a delicate subject. Treat it with respect. Thank you. Well my friend, it's been a while. They built a memorial for you on our latest map. Yes, we're at Beta3 already. I remember our very last conversation before you went off, three days before Christmas, I believe. In the bar. It's still standing, barely touched. You'll like your memorial, near a waterfall. Very quiet. It's swamped with people constantly visiting though, but everyone is there in honor of you. I bet you would want something more inconspicious bro, but it's the least we can do. You gotta echo through our Academy history. Already, new people are asking about you. New people... Ah yes, new people. Time goes on, and so does the Academy. Though I'm no Knight, I have my own two Padawans now. Wolfwood just made JAK, with more to follow. I'm hanging in there as a JAP, but it's hard to complain when you have Virtue as your master, right? Speaking of which, the old guy finally made JAC. I know how much you cared for him. He's swamped with all kinds of stuff, but the Academy is thriving. I wish you were here man. These dark months, when the temperature reaches -10 degrees, it's best for me to snuggle up my computer in the attic, and you always brought a smile to my face. ~Ken |

Number 3000 for you, my dear friend. It's not much, but it is my silent tribute to your memory. It's been one month since I heard the news, and I'm still not sure how I'm coping with the loss. I thought I was going to be okay, but then I heard that song Silk dedicated to you on the prom map. "Hear You Me" by Jimmy Eat World, not sure if you've heard it or not, but it's beautiful. That song described exactly how I was feeling and I was overcome with grief and crying for you all over again. Although you aren't with us physically, I know that you are with us all in spirit, watching over us, and I know that you are reading this now Vlad. I would like to thank you. Thank you for everything you have done for me, for this community. You were truly a gift from God to us. Always smiling, cheering us up. Never saying a single bad word. You were always thinking of others, how to make sure they were happy. You were such a caring and selfless person. I am proud to say that I knew you, Vladarion. Knowing you has made me a better person at heart. I will always remember your kind ways and will try to emulate them as best as I can. Dear Vlad, I still can't believe what has transpired and that you will not be there the next time I log on to play. You have shown me and everyone else here that if you are kind outgoing and make people laugh you will always be remembered. You did just that. I will always and I mean always remember you. I know you are in a better place now however much it pains me that you are gone. I have met lots of people Vlad and I have seen my friends come and go as they please, but there are the one or two that are your soul mates. Friends you will always have and be a part of there lives. I have no doubt that you and I Vlad are these type of friends. Unfortunately we met late in life, but I am forever grateful to have met and crossed sabers with such a gentle soul as you. I don't want to sound as if I am not down by this. I'm afraid i never had direct contact with Vladarion, however, i do know this. With the loss of his life, the academy has lost part of its life. while i now, will not have the chanse to meet Vladarion, I do wish the people who knew him well, to remember him for the good things in his life, and not his passing. How sad. There was this person who was a model student, this person I never met before, this person that died before I could meet them. This is the first (noticed) death from a member of the Jedi Academy. The first.. what is it.. 2 days, I couldn't think of anything to say, and I haven't really gotten higher than that. THIS IS WHY LIQUOR'S PRICE SHOULD BE HIGHER. I've been against liquor. I've always been against liquor. Every time I see somebody guzzle down a bottle of beer or see somebody on the servers or IRC with _Drunk at the end of their name, I think, "what a gross slob." Can't they get their pleasure out of something less.. Mind-consuming?! Just a few weeks ago I posted something in the Crazy Stuff forum asking how much you drink. Those who weren't underage DRANK. This proves I am... technically psychic. Thank you, Vladrion, I regret the day has never come that we have met. Thank YOU, DJ and Doobie, and all the community of the Jedi Academy, that has made Vlad's.. internet.. social life.. Good. Rest in peace, Vladrion. And the Force be with you.
