Over the past few months it has become apparent to the Jedi Academy's senior staff that the apparently tragic events that lead to countless tributes being made to Vladarion and his memory have turned out to be untrue.
With this in mind, the JA has opted to remove Vladarion from the Hall of Fame. Action in regards to the "the_academy_v3" map memorial will be taken at a later date. On behalf of all of the JA's administrative staff involved, I would like to apologise to all of those affected by the initial events which took place in 2003 and lead to the various tributes made. The JA believed all correspondence in regards to Vladarion's apparent death to be genuine and sincere. We have created a thread containing the aforementioned which can be used for discussion in regards to this matter. Keep ALL discussion of this matter on the thread in the aforementioned link. Any new threads on any section of the forums regarding this will be closed. Any posts made on this profile or anywhere else found to be in violation of the JA rules will be deleted and the poster will face official warning or closure of their site account. Flaming, disrespect, trolling or any other rule infractions will not be tolerated and dealt with accordingly. This is a delicate subject. Treat it with respect. Thank you. A good man and a good friend, one of the few early on whom I got to know extremely well. Vlad as a person that i knew for some good battles and able to talk to we never really knew eachother but just meeting you those few times showed me you were a great person that cared about us and would help us in hard times, i feel you have gone to a muhc better place and are watching over all of right now, making me feel better about this hopefully when my time is right i will finally meet you face to face. rest in peace, vlad...even though I never really got to know you, you were just like everyone one of us, being part of the same Academy. If I had taken this lightly, I would say something like, he has gone on and become one with the Force. And even though that may sound a little childish, I guess you can say that's true from an adult point of view. Even though you're gone, I know you're in a better place than here, and you continue to watch over everyone that has made an impact in your life...your wife, friends, and even us at the Academy. And who knows...you may even be laughing now, wherever you are, finding out finally who were the people behind the many players you met here at the JA. My heart goes out to your family and your wife, and I'm proud to be part of the same Academy as you, part of the same aspect of your life that brought you a measure of joy and happiness. It is times like these that the true spirit of the Academy really shows, and to see so many people reacting to this as I have is good, seeing as how cruel this world can get. To Vlad: I don't know what to say. You were the reason I stuck with this academy. You were the one who beat me ten times over and made me want to get better. You were the one who didn't laugh at me when I got slammed. As we both grew into parts of the community, we became better friends. You were the one who would point stuff out to me, and helped me to be a better player. But above all, to be a better person. You were the reason I joined the TFFA Aurochs. When I read the message on IRC, I thought it was just another one of those crazy jokes that people like to come up with. After realizing the truth and reading everyone's wonderful posts, I broke down into tears. I still can't accept the truth in full. I may not have known Vladarion as well as some, but I did have the honor and pleasure of knowing him as a good friend. He was always calm, courteous, friendly, humorous, and ready to help someone out or discuss a person's problems with him or her. Every time I met this wonderful man on the servers and began chatting with him, I always thought to myself, "I really wish I was more like Vladarion." He was the kind of person that is just too hard to find these days. I'm glad I got to wish him a Merry Christmas before this happened. It's given me some comfort that I at least got to say "goodbye". From the times i had to talk to Vlad he was a wonder human being, always happy, just trying to have fun, although i didnt know him in real life it feels as if i lost a friend there.
