Over the past few months it has become apparent to the Jedi Academy's senior staff that the apparently tragic events that lead to countless tributes being made to Vladarion and his memory have turned out to be untrue.
With this in mind, the JA has opted to remove Vladarion from the Hall of Fame. Action in regards to the "the_academy_v3" map memorial will be taken at a later date. On behalf of all of the JA's administrative staff involved, I would like to apologise to all of those affected by the initial events which took place in 2003 and lead to the various tributes made. The JA believed all correspondence in regards to Vladarion's apparent death to be genuine and sincere. We have created a thread containing the aforementioned which can be used for discussion in regards to this matter. Keep ALL discussion of this matter on the thread in the aforementioned link. Any new threads on any section of the forums regarding this will be closed. Any posts made on this profile or anywhere else found to be in violation of the JA rules will be deleted and the poster will face official warning or closure of their site account. Flaming, disrespect, trolling or any other rule infractions will not be tolerated and dealt with accordingly. This is a delicate subject. Treat it with respect. Thank you. That wasn't so great, but it was only for fun. I remember how we would lame each other and than go hide in one of the private bar rooms and you would try to hack at me. OMG, wow... I did have the pleasure of knowing you just a little bit while you were here. You were one of the best up-and-coming students I had ever met; and you displayed all the characteristics that people look for in others. I have nothing but the best wishes for your soul, and your family. When I read the message on IRC, I thought it was just another one of those crazy jokes that people like to come up with. After realizing the truth and reading everyone's wonderful posts, I broke down into tears. I still can't accept the truth in full. I may not have known Vladarion as well as some, but I did have the honor and pleasure of knowing him as a good friend. He was always calm, courteous, friendly, humorous, and ready to help someone out or discuss a person's problems with him or her. Every time I met this wonderful man on the servers and began chatting with him, I always thought to myself, "I really wish I was more like Vladarion." He was the kind of person that is just too hard to find these days. I'm glad I got to wish him a Merry Christmas before this happened. It's given me some comfort that I at least got to say "goodbye". From the times i had to talk to Vlad he was a wonder human being, always happy, just trying to have fun, although i didnt know him in real life it feels as if i lost a friend there. This is a great lose that has befallen both our society and our academy. It has been my greatest of privileges to know Vlad during the time I have been with the academy. He has always been a friend to me. He was one of those people that you just like to be around. His actions were that of a man with a kind heart and a considerate soul. In times like these I pull from my faith to help me, you may not share my beliefs but I feel that there is a heaven and Vlad is surely there now. He has touched all of our lives and he will be forever remembered. I show no anger to the man who killed him; I will not disgrace his memory that way. That man has his own peace to make. You were a player I always looked forward to bumping into, my heart is saddened by our loose and I hope that we shall once again be able to cross sabers again some day. I know you will be watching over us from wherever you are. I now beseech to my fellow members of the academy to keep Vlad in their memory, for if we do that he will always be with us. I now rip from the tip of my grandfather’s black belt a strip to tie around my arm, for that is the way of our family, to morn the loose of my friend and pay my respects to him.
