Oh mate please dont! An EMG81 is bad enough, but TWO? 
Active EMG's aren't that great. They suck the life out of the battery, and sound like absolute ass for anything that doesn't involve your gain being cranked up to it's maximum capacity. If you want a realllllly nice tone for all styles, and a touch-sensitive sound that'll squeeze all the harmonics you can think of out of your guitar, invest in a DiMarzio Fred for your bridge pick-up position. It's incredible, Joe Satriani uses them on all of his guitars! If you MUST get EMG's, get an 86 in the neck position. EMG 81s are primarily a bridge pickup, and while they DO work in the neck position, they really don't sound all that great. 
But good to see a guitar enthusiast around here! Enjoy that guitar, Explorers are fantastic.  |

You can't really compare a G-processor to any other processor, as they are quite differently made (more efficient design, and they're about half the size). A real great way to show what I mean is by looking up the Megahertz Myth, but beware that it does have some bull in it too, it is after all a commercial. Just click the picture to see the video. Nevertheless, the figures they show about being fast, are more or less real. (read this after seeing the video) The graph they show in the video of the two processors is wrong on the other hand. The bits and pieces of code going through the pipeline should be moving twice as fast in the upper pipeline, as the pipeline is twice as fast. THe fact that the code is running at the same speed in both instances, is therefore, wrongly shown. You're right. I'm aware that they are different from other processors. However, to put it in perspective, the last G processors that were made (before Apple switched to the Pentium chip) were the G5s. Those averaged around 1Ghz to 2 Ghz. Not only is it far superior in hertz, but it is two processor generations faster. My 500Mhz G3 is about 6 years old, and probably equal to a 200Mhz - 400Mhz PC.
