Yeah I went there around Dec 98 - Jan 99, but my parents were there just a few months back in Dec 07. Putting aside the Sydney-is-the-best-place-in-Australia bias, I think Melbourne is supposed to be a very nice place to visit and study at. My parents said it has a much better transport system than we have here which means a lot less congestion troubles. Good sites to visit too.
Which university are you planning to study at anyway? And why are you even bothering if it doesn't count towards your degree? If it's just for some worldly experience and adventure, I'd personally recommend going to all the main cities here if you get the chance. I've been great, thanks! You're going into the medical field, eh? Nice  . I actually JUST finished the map today (the final compile finished about the time you posted on my profile  ). I think you'll like it. And your bar got a remodeling job, too! I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty proud of it . You'll definitely have to hop on the servers over Christmas break and check it out. Hopefully we can beat each other over the head with our glow sticks a few times too .
