if i may say i kinda agree with janitor
red extensions is invaluable tool. it can be used in loads of ways and thats what makes it a good tool or a bad sploit. personally i use it mostly for defense. especially against staff. i used to practise to do the whole clean swing into opponent, but i dunno... it just feels very lame sometimes. lets say your opponent is on ur left and you do a right swing, when you hit you turn around, then probably hit the jump key and if u did it right - he is definitely dead lol what i hate about red extensions tho, is that while opponent whos using it might not intend to bug the shit out of you - either coz of ping or coz u suddenly go to some other places - he might turn in a way that might damage you. ofcourse maybe not much, but every damage point counts. one thing i cant stand and im totally against is yellow extension. i never could do it tbh, but i didnt practise it much, since i hated it. janitor probably knows how to use and could shed the light on this. as for that tourney thing.. i never understood why he didnt get the prize tbh everything looked normal to me. I personally consider extensions valuable to any red duelist, anyone who knows how to swing should be taught to cleanly extend the red swing.(clean as in, not adding a poke to it.) Its a skill to use as it requires more accuracy than most swings do full stop (tracing your opponent as you swing and as they move.) Personal opinions ofcourse.
And on the case of glide delays. I didnt used to find them an opening at all, unless used in a silly manner.I find them invaluble (along with extensions) against damcing/scissor only using yellow stances, More so against staff. because a decent staff user will come in a little earlier (from my experience anyway) and thus if you extend properly you can just aim it to catch the end of their saber and catch them before they get to you. All personal opinion. Ah right. Yeah I'm a red heavy hybrid dueler. Having played outside of the JA a good year or so before joining i ha a pretty red purist style. Im not a huge fan of the yellow 'dance' style, so when i use yellow it's usually of my own style, consisting of diagonal swings for fast counters, and then the odd scissor before switching back to red.
I'd say im 90% red and 10%yellow dueling, when i used to play TFFA i was 100% red, alot of the red over-head followed up with a backflip for huge damage xD. Ah =< shame really. P30pl3s won the TIT (i think, or got to one of the last rounds) but someone (No name given) refused to give him the prize because he used extensions. So he got into 03, great player. Used duals till i taught him xD.
And sure i'd be glad to give you a hand with red. Once i get this done and limber up a bit i'll give you a hand with whatever you need . Will be nice to teach some red, most people in the JA are yellow purists/yellow orientated hybrids xD.

Nah I wouldn't worry! Christmas spirit and all im sure it'll be fine. Even if its not, im sure they wont mind getting a few gifts the next day! Didn't know many people in the JA had families though! Spose i always thought of most of the people here between the 15 - 20 bracket. o_o;
Now, gotta go to bed and let this JKA CD download properly (broke one of mine..) so i can look for a padawan tommorow. PS: Oh! And one thing, you wouldn't happen to know if o³ are still active would you? And if so, have you seen o³'p30pl3s around? or something of that name. fair enough, in all honesty its hard to get decent at TFFA nowadays without playing clan matches IMO. When i started it was easy to find a TFFA server with a decent number of people on.
