I don't expect anything for what I do for the JA, except hopefully a little respect for the time and effort, nothing more.
And I'm not overestimating anything, I speak of the term "Master" from a generalised and meaningful perspective, not as a "Rank". And no, I'm not a Jedi Master in RL, but being a good Mentor/Master to someone would consist of more than a mere computer game, maybe you don't understand what I mean by this... which may explain why you didn't get where I was coming from about the matter earlier on. Anyways, my real reason for posting on your profile was to explain to you exactly why I 'corrected' you on the Forums, how we both feel about titles and relationships outside of the JA is irrelevent. Outside the JA, it doesn't matter what people call themselves, and if their relationship is as friends as you stated it was, then that's what they are, friends who are helping eachother out, no Master-Padawan stuff about it and I find people irritating who just want to jump on the bandwagon of getting someone to call them a "Master", just because they found a player who isn't as good as them.
At the JA, people have ranks judged on their attitude, skill and mentality and the JA itself is built upon the foundation of helping the less-experienced players better themselves, as such we have classes and the like to do this - Master-Padawan relationships are formed mostly of people who find it hard to attend classes, so a ranked member devotes a large portion of their time to helping that individual(s), which is very noble and humble of them, especially with all the other duties that they must adhere to. Again, these members are ranked because they are very skilled, have great attitudes and mentality toward others and are TRAINED to be able to help others in the most efficient way possible, and have been intensively tested to make sure they have everything just mentioned - that is a true Master. And they have earned the right to be a "Master". In your case, I simply think there is a misunderstanding to what the word "Master" actually means, particularly in the SW universe (and/or in the JA). To what you are getting at, the word "Guide" is better suited as it suggests someone who is a little more experienced than the person that they are helping and is trying to point them in the right direction (providing ego doesn't take over in the process). Students calling themselves "Masters" is, to most of us, just as silly as when a Student tries to "Retire" or start a "Family" and recruit loads of people into it etc. etc. I understand your stance on Master-Padawan relations, but as I said, whether you're in the JA or not, it's more of a "Guide" thing, because there is far more to being a true "Master" than simply teaching them a few moves in a computer game. You say I'm the one who is disrespecting others by not recognising the friendships formed? I recognise that completely, but that doesn't mean that someone is a "Master". In fact, the disrespect doesn't come from you telling me to "Tell someone who cares", it comes from you going over the heads of everyone that I mentioned above who have trained hard, passed the tests and have devoted alot of their hard-earned time to helping the less-fortunate people who cannot attend classes on top of their many other duties and responsibilities. That is when you are a Master.

If you're in the JA, then you care about our officialities.
I stated that he was your unofficial Padawan because to others reading it, it could look like you were ranked, which you weren't. Needless to say that it also could look like you know what you are doing, which you don't. If you are a Student, you cannot have a Padawan, that's just how it is.
