We made it up to the top 5 and were able to stay there for a while. Had a few pretty epic wins as well...aah the good old times. We didnt beat neither axioms nor aimings 2on2 team though. Although it was pretty close a few times, they usually just destroyed us. Do you even know who zeno and bimon are and how they play? But yea, i have no chance whatsoever against cube since i was unable to find a fitting strategy against him. He originally beat me 10/5 but switched to single when the score was 9/5. He got fragged 3 times in a row before he decided to switch again and finish me off. Its pretty simple and also stated in the rules i guess. The rules say that if both opponents dont come up with a server, each of them should host one for each round. Infact, ive never encountered anyone hosting a server locally in order to play an ESL match but thats what the rules say. There is a bunch of servers dedicated particularly to ESL matches which everyone is allowed to use, incase they cant come up with a server. Ive been relying on these most of the time since i dont really want to keep bothering friends about servers. Just 2 of them sponsored by FC: 153.19.140.142:29074 153.19.140.142:29073 Password is "esl" of course. That high ping issue is stated in the rules as well. Basically, non-europeans who play ESL matches just accept the fact that they have to play with a high ping against their opponents. Thing is, if you can provide a server which is going to give you a low ping and you insist on using it, then your opponent has to play at least one round there. So thats how it usually goes, youve gotta at least play one round on your opponents server (exception is, if he doesnt want to play on his or cant come up with one himself). Its usually fine with most of the people there if they have to play one round on a server which gives them a high ping. So yea, if you dont like your ping, feel free to tell them that you want to play the second round on a server of your choice. Oh and no i dont know of any US servers which you can use for ESL matches.
