Tnx for the info hello. i couldnt help seeing your and masta's big and large convo and thoguht id add my Opinion. alot of the US players. as masta has stated do not depend of poking as much as alot of Euro players. but take bunta-kun aka Sauce [i think] as one, he was in wovian[or was]. and hes a euro player. he didnt poke and was VERY impressive. but he still stated that sh0! could beat him. now i met sh0 on a BWN server a few weeks ago. and im not sure if it was a fake, or the real deal. but ive played quiet a few WOVIAN players back in meh sploiting days. aswell as alot of euro pokers ect. and when it comes down to ''the poke power'' i would say that generaly euro pokers rely on it alot more. but use it more effectively. IMO Dureal. COULD beat sh0. but its all in my opinion. sh0 is a very impressive player. but dureal has grown somewhat inactive. even he stated Poke has ruined JKA. and he took up jk2 once more. check the esl he is only taking forced matches in the esl JKA ladder now. i would agree that without poke. JKA would be more populour but its all about someones opinion. some players say its all about movment, and how you move. not how good ur poke is. becuase if they cant hit you. it doesent matter if you can deal uber damage. but there is also the fact that you would need to hit them. leaving at least one open place. thats my opinon and two cents -taL and tbh. wovian have massive ego's aswell =p _______________ Quote: I mostly agree oh Lord of the squeezy mop

lol thnx..my former clanmate made this for me..itz funny u commented on my avatar cuz i was debating to comment on how much i like urs..LOLOL.. btw that dude mastz00r relle types alot. i wish there were soem more american clans left btw i fougth sh0 the leader of WoV..back when i was active (been absent for a yr and one month.) back then he was #1 in BWN but he himself said his 2 other clanmates were better than him, but the thing was they never were into BWN so they never got noticed...also i was 3 for 3 with him..partly due to his ping..but from the way he fought i could tell he wasnt all undefeatable that people make him out to be. im sure if he had better ping he could of beat me..but i would still give hima run for his money. HOWEVER i went on to face the 2 players he claimed to be better than him...and yea....dont wanna tlak about it... _______________ I don't wanna be the best, being the best doesn't mean I'm good...I wanna be perfect 'cause we always fall short, so if I aim for perfect I'll be good.... The problem about Hell Raiser is pretty much that he got extremly cocky. All the compliments he recieved and all the fame he got for winning certain matches boosted his reputation and his ego equally. Well thats not really true, actually it boosted his ego into high heaven. Hes very quick to argue and display his apparent superiority over others. Most of the things he says are a reflection of his current arrogance and therefore dont have to be valid at all. You see, i havnt played sh0 for a few months by now and therefore cant possibly tell how good he is. As ive stated in my earlier post, he and the rest of WoV are getting more and more inactive so im not sure if hes still as that top notch as he used to be a few months ago. Back then, he really was kicking ass and taking names each time he connected to a server. Still, its quite arguable if he was/is the best non-european saberist. Hes definately ONE of the best, but i wouldnt be too quick in judging him as THE best player. You cant really tell these sort of things as long as he doesnt do any 1on1 duels against the other really awesome players. Anyway, as ive stated before, these "intercontinental" duel matches are really hard to predict and not necessarily fair, since it depends more on whoever is going to do better with a high ping then on the actual individual skill. Do you remember ex-wovian Ransom aka Krazee aka Animal? He had a 1on1 against Dureal on an US server and won 10-6. You see, sh0 and a few other really awesome US players could pretty much beat any high pinging euros...but the euros could beat sh0 and other US players on european servers themselfs. So to make it "more or less" fair, such matches are played 2 rounds on 2 different servers; one american and one european server. These regulations do make matches like these as fair as possible, even though the player which gets to play with a low ping first has a natural advantage, since all he has to do in the second round is to not get killed which is way easier then to kill. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Well in my opinion, there isnt really an US clan out there which relys so heavily on poking then your average european clan does. Infact, the US community never really was as that much into poking as the european one. So i wouldnt really consider the US clans we faced to be "poker clans". Infact, the only really good US clan left is pretty much WoV now, and even they get more and more inactive. As for how the JAA's chances against good european clans are, well i can honestly say that i doubt we will ever going to face one of these clans with our strongest lineup. Even if we would, theres always the ping problem which makes it impossible for both sides to have a fair match. You see, having a high ping whilst beeing used to playing with a low ping usually results in great disadvantages. So yea, besides the usual factors like precision and aim, theres always going to be the "whoever is better at playing with a high ping" factor which makes all the difference. On that note, if certain circumstances were met which would boost european JAA matches to a rather fair level, we would have quite a decent chance to beat some of the big guys out there. Excluding aXiom of course. If you browse around the ESL site a bit, you should notice that the JAA did a few matches against mediocre european clans already. However, we never put as much effort into playing ESL matches as we did against DoX for example. Not only did we lack the preparations, the motivation and the proper arrangements, but we never seemed to have anyone from the white team besides Kain, 13 and me showing up. I just consider poking to be the "faster" and easier way to score frags. The only disadvantages in duels you may have are, that you need more then 1 swing to kill your opponent and that you need to be more careful since every mistake you make is pretty much going to result in death. My only issue with pokers nowadays is that im pretty much unable to play with them on the same team in TFFAs. I always get the least score and therefore usually get considered as worse or less skilled then the rest just because im unable to kill my opponents with one hit. It works fine when im on a team of non-pokers like the JAA though. Still, the non-poker will always have to hit his opponents nearly twice as much as a poker who doesnt really have to aim neither. Frustration shouldnt be much of a problem if you have the right mindset neither. Thats pretty much where most people fail though. As ive said, its a bit more challenging to play without poking, to rely a lot more on timing and precision, and to do less damage then a poker does. Less damage for more effort. If you turn it around, "More damage for less effort". Thats pretty much the main reason why most non-pokers get frustrated and therefore dislike "exploiters". The poker can kill you way faster with less effort. So it takes a lot more effort to be successful as a non-poker and a lot more practice to get the right timing and necessary precision, which is bound to a lot more failure. Most people really dislike the fact that their hard work and hours of training are usually not enough to keep up with a high sens though. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here! Although i got asked to join a lot of clans including eSe, *aiming, o3 and yea even aXiom, ive decided a long time ago that im going to stick to myself no matter what and therefore declined pretty much all offers. The last clan ive been in was called Seraph which was pretty known back then and quite active in the BWN department. I left it to join clan Master, only to see clan Master disbanding shortly after ive posted my resignation on the Seraph forums. That was around 1 1/2 years ago and i havnt been into clans since then. Thing is, everyone pretty much knows that i wouldnt poke even when i wouldve joined an euro clan. Partially because i really suck at it and partially because im not into it at all. Its quite ironic that they still asked me a lot of times to join, even though i always had the lowest score in practice tffas and therelike because i obviously needed more then 1 hit to kill someone. _______________ Find out more about the Jedi Academy Aurochs here and more about Masta here!
