blue is the wierdest of the single stances to be sure, however it is also one of hte most potentialy dangerous. 1) Allows almost instant hits on an opponent that has left him/herself open 2) It has great defence when you are static or moving backwards slowly 3) it has poor defence when you are moving faster or attacking 4) aside from lunge and kata, it usualy only takes off anywere from 5-30 hp per hit on a normal server with un mod'd damage levels and hit box detection. *note* esp with some of the earlier more craptastic versions of some un-namable mod *cough* it was easy to abuse in reality, its a good thing to know how to use, the more versitile you are as a player, the better chance you have in a fight. but its not something i would rely on as a standerd fighting stance/tactic. i've given it a go. Not specialized in it but i'd consider my self as good with blue as any other stance (not that that says much )Against yellow it is very difficult, but against red i use blue with similar tactics to yellow vs red fighting. Although it has got completly different timmings the basic strategy is the same. And as others have said it is harder. Also be aware that blue as a poor defense against yellow and red, thus not only you need to be careful about when and how to attack but also you must not try to counter heavier styles. I guess blue is mainly hit and run, never stay at one place, never try to parry but dodge instead. Q: Why do people somewhat never use blue but for the lunge ? A: Because in terms of efficiency, you'll need a lot of successful hits to put kill your opponent while a yellow or red user will almost always land a hit if you don't dodge in time. Yo sete you hit the nail on the head matey. it is a really hard stance to learn because alot of learning of the stance really requires quick movement and carefully timed attacks. |

Yeah, I heard of one person who is uber l33t with it, but I'm not sure of the name. Yellow and Red are easier, yet not easy. Blue is fast, but I guess it's hard to know much about it. It's fast, it has many swings and twirls, etc. I heard it can lose small amounts of HP at times. I guess you have to really practice with it if you want it to work well.  |
