Normally I leave classes things to the classes threads for their respective classes, but with the end of term for my class coming up a week from today, next Saturday at noon Eastern Standard Time, I wanted to take this time to point out to ANY students that have attended my classes these past 6 weeks to look to the following thread. Staff Final Exam If you have attended within the past 7 weeks, 6 plus today's Review Week, you are eligible to take the Final Exam next week. If you have not, no worries, the following week starts the rotation of the term back at week 1. I will politely ask you to leave the class if you are not eligible. Students, please seek either myself, or any of the class attendance out to practice for the final. Good luck everyone... _______________ Be honorable, be friendly, be trustworthy. I would have taken 1, 2, or 3 hours if need be to review the 7 weeks worth of lessons (when you see it done, it isn't a buttload) and we would have been good to go. Well, yesterday was Final Exam for my First Term of my class. I can pretty much sum it up in one word, disappointed. Why am I disappointed? Well get yourselves ready, I'm about to rant... Here's the list who've attended over the past 7 weeks: 3th Axio Brian Snoozems Brotherkow Cerulean Blu Crickelous Damned Delta(Passed) Devlin Feijao Gradius Jade Jedi Kyo MaceWindow Kenobi Magby/Fencer Masta MateJ Monkaiman Nati PizzaTheHut Ploo Koon Selph Setementor Sfire Solitude Tido Tribal Vanidar Waternorth Zertz 3th, Tido, Gradius, are Knights, they've got other obligations. They've come to the class, but aren't expected to go to the Final because they already KNOW the things I teach. Regardless, Gradius showed up yesterday and went through with it. Cerulean Blu Delta Masta Delta couldn't make Saturday, but we sought each other out during the week and he attempted to make it up and passed as well. Cerulean Blu and Masta were the only one's there, and they passed with flying colors. The rest of you on the list, what happened? I specifically have posted early during the week to seek me out if you can't be there for the Final. I'd allow you to take it early. I gave all of you PLENTY of time to get a hold of me in any fashion possible. There's a few of you I expected to be there, but did not show. I don't teach this class for my health folks. I SERIOUSLY want to get new staffers and experienced staffers the base knowledge they need to fight with the Staff honorably and without resorting to crappy tactics and cheap moves. You know how hard it is to use the staff and be respected? Very! I'm teaching to make sure as a staffer, you know the essentials you need to know and start your way to becoming respected with the weapon you wield. I got asked a question, and I'll leave the person nameless, they asked, "So, if we didn't show for the Final, did we fail?" All I have to say is this. In real life, at college, univesity, an area where education is taught, and a Final Exam is assigned, if you don't show for the test, what usually happens? Enough of my banter, next week starts the 2nd term of my class. We start right on back to Week 1 and learning the Basic Moves in Half Animations. THIS IS A PERFECT TIME TO JUMP ONTO MY CLASS. YOU'LL BE STARTING WITH OTHERS WHO DECIDE TO JUMP IN FOR THE FIRST TIME. THIS IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! Congratulations to Cerulean Blu Delta Gradius Masta For being the first to receive their Certification for Janus Solid Staff Foundation Class. If you have attended within the past 7 weeks, 6 plus today's Review Week, you are eligible to take the Final Exam next week. Keyword there is Within Masta, and first, no apologies necessary. You're definitely eligible for the Final, I'd suggest seeking me out during the week just to go over a couple things to brush up and review. Plain awesome idea Janus, I have one question though. Ive missed 2 of your classes... The first one was during the very first week (Half Animations) and the second one was todays review class. First of all, i would like to apologise for not attending to the very first and very last class (before the exams)... Secondly, i would like to ask if i may take part in the exams although ive missed 2 of your classes.
