Mace Windu - Retired  |
I'm very upset right now...my dad has just given me the news that we cannot afford cable internet or tv right now. He has told me that he is disconnecting it tomorrow. I'm not sure what to do.... but I am not going to be around for a while.... and it may be for a long long time. I wish to be retired. Though I may not leave on such a good note...I feel like I could have put more of an effort into my time in the Academy. This place is amazing.....from day one, when I was a noob at jk2, it was so awesome to be on the servers...and hangout with my friends and build relationships. I feel like I have made many strong friendships in my time here and I thank everyone in the Academy for everything. I'd like to thank Master LukeSkywalker, brother Virtue, brother Lancer, my sis Smily, KaTaN, DarkBlade, and my dearest padawan Vladarion who I will see again..May you continue to rest in peace. And to the council and staff... you guys work your arses off, I tip my hats to you guys... My man Mace....u will b soarly missed...so u figure cable runs at about 50 bucks a month...and we have bout 3000 students....*cues light bulb over head* /me starts the BRING MACE WINDU BACK fund...a dollar from every student and he'll be set for the year!! and then some!! good idea? bad idea? _______________ Come on now, every Generation X boy wanted to be Luke Skywalker. Is it because he was a whiney farm boy from some backwater hack planet? No, it's because he was a FREAKING JEDI. He could block lasers with his lightsaber. He could levitate droids & rocks & crap with his mind. Come on, he choked two pig dudes with just a simple gesture. He cut off Darth Vader's hand and kicked him down a flight of stairs. The pizza comment may or may not have been serious, but if you're old enough to get a job, it sounds like your family is having some pretty serious financial problems. I don't know your age either, but even if you're too young to land a regular job maybe you could mow lawns for cash or something like that. Then again, maybe you're already working and I should just shut up. Sounds like your dad needs a lot of emotional support right now too...If I were you I'd start doing extra chores around the house and doing everything I can to be supportive and make things easier for others in what sounds like a difficult time. I hope your absence will not be tooooo long. Does your local library have internet access, so you can at least stay semi-active on the forums? In any case, I wish you all the best.
