It saddens me to admit that i never knew Vladorion. I will say, however, with great respect and awe, that it takes a great man to achive such immortality. Even though he has been taken from the world of men, through his greatness as a member of the Jedi Academy he lives on, in the hearts and minds of those who knew him. I'm still wanting to meet him. But, then again, he lives in all of his friends (you guys basicly). So, in a way i've already met him, cause I met at least 1 of you guys. I think its really cool of what you guys are doing. I'm wondering if you guys are still in contact with his wife, maybe you could do somthing for her? Although i didn't know him i sometimes go to the remorial and say something in private. Onboxing day why don't we all go there and bow or something as a mark of respect? I like the saber idea.  Well I didnt know the guy but I have a few ideas...1. Make a custom saber with vlads name engraved in it (if possible) and put it at the base of his memorial. 2. have a 1 minute kneeling moment of silence in front of his memorial statue. 3. Or start a tradition that on the anniversary of his passing that all servers be shut down for one day in his honor.....just some ideas......ciao _______________ 4/20/2005----Left the academy because I did'nt feel welcomed. |

I find yearly "holidays" to celebrate someone deceased to be a little, well, creepy. Those who actually knew him, perhaps it would be better to celebrate his birthday than the anniversary of his death. I said goodbye to him during the ceremony after his death - and occasionally I still pay homage to him by visiting his memorial or simply remembering the good times. I've had my closure - a renewed event simply because it's been a year wouldn't do anything for me. If others feel like organising something though, who am I to stop them? |
