any oldbies around here? I just had some reminiscing with jediknight13 about the good ol' days of the academy. The days of phr00t, l-rod, quicksliver, silent whisper and such. Anyone remember those days? it was great...the original map with a matrix spike room, glass room, and very small outside area for weapons. Blue rocked back them lunges where very nasty, as where YDFA's. Now, only lunges are the fun special in single saber fighting. They surprise peeps. lol I was one of those strange ones who didn't use red stance, mainly because I couldn't get the timing. So what did I use instead? Freakin' BLUE stance. Man, L-Rod used to get so mad at me for using lunge so much. Especially on the (admittedly rare) occasions when I'd win.When red crouch-swings were all the rage, I was using lunges and sideswipes with blue, and actually winning a lot with it. I remember intense duels with FaDed (when he was fadedglory), Arcuss, Kalheka, and {RH}Bind. I remember when anybody who didn't use redstance was just plain weird. I remember dueling Luke when he was a JAK and actually being able to win sometimes. I remember seeing L-Rod get 100 duel kills in 100 minutes. I remember playing Force Hockey with a sleeped NofrikinfuN and actually getting his body into the secret chamber of the old academy map, and then back up the hole thanks to the help of my team. I remember watching my first class, taught by one JumpinJedi[JAT] from behind Chicka's computer screen. It was an introduction to movement. I remember Huxley and Shannon at my journeyman trials, with one of the test questions being, "What would you do for a Klondike bar?" I remember when I had someone fire a guided rocket at me and I just stood there hopping in one place, and the rocket kept flying around me unable to target me well enough to hit. People were amazed. It started a fad that must've lasted all of a week. Good times. I'm an oldbie <-------Profile 436! three digits I remember i signed up on the second day they openly accepted entries into the place (I tried to sign up on the first....damn my UK'ness making me miss a day!) I remember the days of acidic, and JJ when he was a JAS wayyyyyy before the JASE, and even the JASE was ages ago i remember LAMM!!!! LookAtMyMonkey! I remember knowing basically everyone, because everyone was a regular I remember the old maps (And i'd like to thank Virtue for having the old Yavin music in the latest map )I remember when DJ Sith played on JK2Home ^_^ I remember classes always taking place at times i could never make ^_^ I remember whenever we had a "points" system in place, where you earned a "point" for each class you attend, and ranks where based off of that point system. I remember that being scrapped two weeks later I remember the old Profile pics, before we got all the pretty awesome ones people are making now. Just a picture of a jedi lol....some good ones, but not awesome. I remember the JA:SP Project. Really this was around the time the JASE was formed, shame it never got completed (Yeh and the leader of it went on to become a JAC anyway )I remember the old website! new one is pretty awesome tho imo.And I miss the old JK2 + map Just a few things i can remember off the top of my head, won't go into detail with any of them, could be here for hours otherwise ^_^ EDIT: Come back Aeth S'Kray!!! and D4m4ge!(spelling? lol) and Acidic!!! _______________ JK2 pwnz0rs JK3.
