I think KOTOR goes too far with Lightsaber modability I mean its like 4000 years before movies and you can make blades more 'sharp'? I found this http://forums.gamespot.com/gamespot/show_messages.php?board=920194&topic=18594208&page=0 I think its quite good :p _______________ Rawr.

The extra crystals that can be added to the hilt of the sarbre can increase the strength or intesity of the beam, or chanche the length and width of the blade. Personal preference :p THe colour and type of the primary and secondary crystal affect the power and speed of the blade or something like that  _______________ Rawr.

Not at first at least but I'm sure mace had the only violet blade for a reason. Colour (contrary to its implementation in KotOR) is mostly a result of the focusing crystals used. I don't know of any [movie] Jedi that chose their saber crystals for the colour. Purple 0wns. Purple is King. Mace Windu use Purple. :p In the Star Wars thing different colours actually change the strength/versatility of the blade dunno where I read that but it was definitely official. _______________ Rawr.

I change colours a lot. I like to roleplay characters, even in non-RP games such as JKA, and my color on a server at any given time will be based on how my character's currently set up. Examples: Blue - Usually staff or single, light-side attack-enhancing powers such as Speed. LS Guardian with more emphasis than usual on Force in KotOR. Green - Single, light-side with defensive powers such as Heal, Mind Trick, and Absorb. LS Consular on KotOR. Purple - Single, when I'm on a roll as far as dueling goes. LS Single-Saber Guardian (Mace Windu style) in KotOR. Red - Any DS combination. Usually staff, Push, and Drain. I really don't use yellow much, except in KotOR, for LS Scout/Sentinel, single saber, very defense-oriented build. I also think if you read into the defs Kreep gave a bit, you'll find that they agree quite nicely with the KotOR versions, and also with the characters' blade choices in the SW movies. _______________ Saving the world, one kilobyte at a time. |

Is it suggested that the colour of the sabre is somehow connected to the user? Hmmmmmmm... Interesting. I don't know if it's relevant, but in Episode 2, the blue lightsabre absorbs the force lightning progected by Dokuu. And not the green ones. Yellow for me, i agree totally with Kreeps post. However, i often use a combination of blue and purple should i ever use duals ... mainly because Blue and purple next to each other is my favourite color (dont ask... i dont have a fav color but two put side-by-side ) the reason for Yellow when single is because of the Kyle Katarn storyline.. focusing on the Yun part ..... Yun sacrificed his life for Kyle so he could use Yuns yellow lightsaber against Saris.. but what does he go and do between JK1 and JK2 ... he ditches it and creates a new lightsabre???? how respectful is that Anyways when i played jk1 (when it was like a brand new game and was loved by all ) i allways liked Yun.. he was my favourite character and i slowly grew to love his yellow blade... and when i first played JK! online with it i went by the name of yun, used his skin and his yellow lightsabre EDIT: what i dont get, is in MOTS .. where the hell does that orange lightsabre come from _______________ -Padawan of Virtue -Brother of Menaxia, *|irael, Krynn Adept, Majno, Ris Win Juljul, DaMi3N, Beowulf, Dash Starlight, Carrock and Yuken Zalak Bartender at Munes bar. Heres an interesting post for all you saber colour people If you ever wanted to know if any of the colours have any significance: ~Lightsabre Blade Colors And What They Mean~ Yellow/Orange(We believe these two interchangeable) - "Luminous beings are we; not this crude matter." The Yellow abilities deal with energy, both in it's physical and metaphysical forms. Blue - Mind over matter is the basis for telekinesis; mind over mind is the nature of a Force duel. Blue deals with countering mental attacks, seeking the paths of others' thoughts, and the universe of the mind. Green - Of all the colors, this is perhaps the most important. Nature is the focus of this discipline, growth, life, and the course of natural evolution are involved with this color. Users of these skills often have a longing for gardens after a while of exposure. Red - Red is often a symbol of attack and chaos, making it the least used of the Aing-Tii powers. Still, mastery of these abilities will help those constantly on the front lines of a battle. Purple/Violet - The color of seeing through illusion is purple. Truth in the face of lies, truth in the face of other truth. Those who specialize in this discipline can see through illusions and dispel them, or simply cause select others to see what is really there.
