I am an avid reader, and love reading for entertainment, which is not the most "cool" thing, but i do anyway. If you like reading, post what your reading right now, and other great books you've read recently, or ever.

haha its an AWESOME book, lots of twist, and lots of interesting facts that really make you think about the church and all that kinda stuff

Yeah, becareful of this book, I really liked it at 1st but about 1/2 through got kinda bored I would have put it down, but when I'm on page 199, and the next chapters starts on page 200, then the next on 202, you keep thinking, "Eh, whats one more chapter it's only three pages"

I like to read in my study halls. I've read quite a few books including The hobbit, Where the Red Fern Grows, The Transel Saga, 1-7 of the Anamorphs when they were big. Thats all i can really remember, but I have read much more.

I don't read nearly as much as I used to, either, but my favorite book series is the Sword of Truth series. First book or two is mostly typical fantasy fare, very well done though. Further into the series it's just amazing how engaging, original, and realistic the characters become. Just recently read the 9th book (in seven hours straight :P), and it's the best so far! I think why I don't read is much is because it's so hard to tell what's crap and what's great.
Other favorites are the Hitchhikers series, LOTR, Ender's Game, stuff by Alexander Dumas, Starship Troopers, and the Sabriel series.
As far as Star Wars books go, I liked the Bounty Hunter Wars trilogy.:alliance::empire:
edit - oh yeah the Sword of Truth..not entirely PG for all you younger types!:D

I refuse to read any of Dan Brown's things. Mostly because i don't like that genre, but partly because i don't like the basic premises all that much.

In any case, my favorite book would be "Once a Hero" by Michael A. Stackpole (Recognise the name? He's written a bunch of star wars stuff as well.) I've read the lotr trilogy straight through multiple times, and would have read the silmarillion if i wasn't too lazy to buy it. I highly recommend the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett (or PTerry, as some call him), and second the motion to read all of Isaac Asimov's stuff.

Currently, i'm reading 'A Secret Atlas', which is Michael A. Stackpole's newest book that only came out a few days ago. I preordered the book, but only got around to reading it today... i've been busy :(

I really like to read, however I used to read
more than I do nowadays. The books I read are
mainly just the average thrillers (Dan Brown,
Grisham). I finished the four books by Dan Brown
(Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress
and deception point), I also read the three lotr books
and the Hobit, last summer I finished Dracula and
I read all these crappy Dutch books in the meantime.

Right now I'm reading 'the secrets of the code'
by Dan Burstein which is about the Da Vinci Code
and tells you more about Mary Magdalene and stuff's. Really to be recomended.

I am in between books right now (just finished "The Divinci Code", which was pretty good)

My all time favorite book, is called

"Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kenedy Toole

I read this book a long time ago, and have re-read it many times, it is so great.

if any of you ever goto:

www.tuckermax.com

Here is his thoughts on it:
Quote:

Favorite Fiction Book: As far as fiction goes, it is hard to beat Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole. In fact, I challenge anyone to name a funnier, better written work of fiction. Name me a better one, and I’ll buy you a beer if you are ever in Chicago. Seriously (And just to preface your stupid suggestions--Catch 22, Catcher in the Rye, Hitchhikers Guide, and anything by Tom Robbins are all INFERIOR to COD).
