I am an avid reader, and love reading for entertainment, which is not the most "cool" thing, but i do anyway. If you like reading, post what your reading right now, and other great books you've read recently, or ever.

The Da Vinci code rules, as Leif said. I recently picked Digital Fortress, by Dan Brown as well. I hope it's a good read like the Da Vinci Code was.

call me a nerd but, I'm reading (at the sime time roughly) 7-8 books:
Warriors 1
Warriors 2
Warriors 3
Warriors 4
Warriors 5
Warriors 6
(note: warriors 1 at school, 2 in the car, 3 a home, 4 in the other char, 5 whenever I'm bored, 6 in between TV shows that I like)
Harry Potter 5 (when I feel like reading for a bit before I go to bed.
Star Wars The Crystal Moon (randomness, reading it as often as possible)
the "bart book"
Lord Of The Rings

note: those are only the books that I've read part of _TODAY_ :D

Enders Game is a great book, I haven't read the last of the other books though... it's on my to do list.:)

Right now im kind of reading Michael Moores "Dude who stole my country?", but I found I had to take it in small doses so I'm also re-reading some old Terry Pratchet novels. Right now it seems to be "Jingo". But yesterday I got hold of a really cool behind-the-scenes book for halflife2, which I'm also reading cover to cover, and tomorrow i'm going to the library...

I thought you loved me?

I'm a big Tolkien fan, and I simply love the Silmarillion. It only gets better and better, and the ending of Quenta Silmarillion is an ending au par with the ending of Lord Of the Rings in my opinion :)

I love reading. :D

The last book I read is (very cliché) "The Da Vinci Code". And, it really is a very good book, which sort of suprised me. Because I had thought it was very over-hyped. But, no, it really is a good book.
Now, I'm planning to read Dan Browns other books too. I'm becoming a Dan Brown-fan. :P

Yeah the silmarillion has a lot of stuff in it. I am almost done with it, and it took me a little while to get use to the rhthym of the book. This book is impossible to tackle without reading the trilogy like you said.

Aye,

Silmarillion is a great book. Like Jun said, a little hard to read at first but youget used to it. After that it's awsome. The order I would read the Tolken book are:
The Hobbit
Fellowship of the Ring
Two Towers
Return of the King
Silmarillion
Silmarillion is a prequal to the other 4 but it kinda gives them away.

The Dan Brown books are awesome. I read them a while ago. Currently reading Lord of the Rings.

I also recommend any books by Isaac Asimov and Arthur C. Clarke if you like science fiction. Hell, even if you don't.

Rereading "Dragon's of Autumn Twilight" from the Dragonlance Margaret Weis collection. Big fan of Wheel of Time. 11 main books and 1 prequel book so far. Harry Potters are always a good read. Read the Dan Brown Da Vinci and Angels & Demons(liked a lot better than Da Vinci). Read LOTR and the Hobbit. All of the above are great stuff to read to escape from it all. Up and coming after the reread above:

Art of War by Sun Tzu

I am currently reading a novel by Dan Brown called 'Digital Fortress', he also has written 'Angels and Demons' and the best selling novel 'The Da Vinci Code', all these books are really very good and are worth buying.

I highly recommend reading the Wheel of Time collection by Robert Jordan. To be honest most people wont have the time to finish all the books, of which there are i think 14 and of which are like 700-1000 pages, but the stories are AMAZING and VERY hard to put down.

Also i noticed in the comment Tallepyon you are reading the Silmarillion, that book i would recommend, only AFTER you have READ the LOTR trilogy (the films dont give you a 1/4 of the story of LOTR, the books are genius). It's a challenging read though and even though it's fiction, it reads like a history book and i know some people who havn't made it past page 50 :). however its a good book and it gives the whole perception of the LOTR world a lot more depth.

Valis

by

Philip K. Dick

its a trilogy, really. The three novels are Valis, The Divine Invasion and The Transmigration of Timothy Archer.

As some might know, or not know, the probably best known of his works is Blade Runner. Harrison Ford starred in the Movie, although the movie has little in common with the novel.

Valis itself is about religion, faith, the future, and the origins of all. Its plots cant possibly be summarized. I personalyl thought this to be a very sick novel, but I had to keep on reading, and it starts to make sense at a certain point. Like most novels do. :)
I'd recommend it.

I'm currently reading Tom Clancy's "The Hunt for Red October", Stephen King's "The Green Mile", and "Fellowship of the Ring" + waiting for some ordered SW books to arrive, and have to read a Danish book for Wednesday (school stuff).

I really don't read as much as I used to nowadays. :/

Currently I am reading "Tom Clancy's Net Force, Springboard" This is a relativily easy book for me, but there is like 9 in the series, and i've read them all so when i saw there was another out, i had to buy it.
The best book I have EVER read in my life, is called "For Those I Loved" By Martin Gray, Max Gallo. It is the story of Martin, who was 14 year old Jewish boy when the Nazi's arrived in Poland. He not only survived this time, but helped many other jew's survive. He ends up living "four" seperte lives, and its a VERY good book. Its hard to come by, since it was written years ago, but it is an excellent read, and if you can find it on ebay, or amazon, or anything like that check it out.
