I refuse to read any of Dan Brown's things. Mostly because i don't like that genre, but partly because i don't like the basic premises all that much. In any case, my favorite book would be "Once a Hero" by Michael A. Stackpole (Recognise the name? He's written a bunch of star wars stuff as well.) I've read the lotr trilogy straight through multiple times, and would have read the silmarillion if i wasn't too lazy to buy it. I highly recommend the Discworld books by Terry Pratchett (or PTerry, as some call him), and second the motion to read all of Isaac Asimov's stuff. Currently, i'm reading 'A Secret Atlas', which is Michael A. Stackpole's newest book that only came out a few days ago. I preordered the book, but only got around to reading it today... i've been busy  _______________ Well then. Just so you know, just because I don't post often doesn't mean I don't lurk this place multiple times every day... |

I really like to read, however I used to read more than I do nowadays. The books I read are mainly just the average thrillers (Dan Brown, Grisham). I finished the four books by Dan Brown (Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress and deception point), I also read the three lotr books and the Hobit, last summer I finished Dracula and I read all these crappy Dutch books in the meantime. Right now I'm reading 'the secrets of the code' by Dan Burstein which is about the Da Vinci Code and tells you more about Mary Magdalene and stuff's. I am in between books right now (just finished "The Divinci Code", which was pretty good) My all time favorite book, is called "Confederacy of Dunces" by John Kenedy Toole I read this book a long time ago, and have re-read it many times, it is so great. if any of you ever goto: www.tuckermax.com Here is his thoughts on it: Quote: Favorite Fiction Book: As far as fiction goes, it is hard to beat Confederacy of Dunces, by John Kennedy Toole. Yes flash Digital Fortress is very good you will like it i'm sure, the story is great. call me a nerd but, I'm reading (at the sime time roughly) 7-8 books: Warriors 1 Warriors 2 Warriors 3 Warriors 4 Warriors 5 Warriors 6 (note: warriors 1 at school, 2 in the car, 3 a home, 4 in the other char, 5 whenever I'm bored, 6 in between TV shows that I like) Harry Potter 5 (when I feel like reading for a bit before I go to bed. Enders Game is a great book, I haven't read the last of the other books though... it's on my to do list. Right now im kind of reading Michael Moores "Dude who stole my country?", but I found I had to take it in small doses so I'm also re-reading some old Terry Pratchet novels. Right now it seems to be "Jingo". But yesterday I got hold of a really cool behind-the-scenes book for halflife2, which I'm also reading cover to cover, and tomorrow i'm going to the library... _______________ The triangular wheel was an improvement over the square one: There was one less bump. |

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card Its the first in a series, and it won the Nebula award, its like the puleitzer (spelling i know) for scifi, and the Hugo award as well. I love reading. The last book I read is (very cliché) "The Da Vinci Code". And, it really is a very good book, which sort of suprised me. Because I had thought it was very over-hyped.
