I need to come out and asked this cus, in the past 5 months I seen it more and more, increase of the amount of people Glitching in JA, I know I can guess to the amount of people thinking so? why can't then? theres no rule saying they can't? Ya I know I read the rules and all, I'm just having some questions about things, glitching in general is probably what 60%+ used in JA community, talking the whole game. I'm not a glitcher, I don't teach glitching, infact I don't like the fact that people can take advantage of simple things to increase dmg, by what 10 times the normal dmg, just by moving there mouse or spinning, I don't do them I don't teach them, and I know people can do some with out thinking, and I'm not posting some post saying PLEASE STOP IT, cus thats just stupid, I just wanted to ask how u guys feel about glitching. As I said I've been in JA for over a year, I remember back when I joined up to a couple of months ago were hardly anyone in JA glitched, they did it the normal way the way I prefere, I'm just asking, cus I like JA being Diff for m community, I don't want it turning in to the rest of the community, the way they fight, glitching and cheating.... Don't take this offensivly to people who do glitch cus I know alot of them and there friends, I get on with them I just want to see how the JAK+ feel on it and everyone else. _______________ [Gran Father/Founder of the Jowols] |

squib...thats cause basejka is the game. ja+ is a sidemod, its mistakes/flaws/benefits/anything are irrelevant, its a deviation from the original game - basejka. plus i learnt all i know at the academy and i play just fine at ja+, not so much different that your skills wont work there....maybe in mp damages you might find that. ja+ is still quite random though and i'd never want to learn on it because it just isnt jk3. _______________ I fite for teh usars!1 |

i've seen servers with no wiggling/poke mods and i heard they're terrible. it's not very likely u can change such a significant part of the game without fudging it up. there've been attempts to mod the game so that it's to the liking of some; for ex, mp damages or those weird mods that try to make jk3 play like jk2. it's pretty funny because they're not really playing the game they bought...or supposedly bought. Agreed, but my point was, the fact that something is used on public servers alot doesnt neccersarily mean the academy should teach it. Otherwise we would need to have JA+ server classes, which obvioucly we won't because the JA is basejk only. You know, sometimes I get the idea that people throw words around like "exploiter!" or "glitcher!" without the first damned clue as to what they're talking about. It seems to me that alot of people just throw them around as excuses because they got killed. It's like, at the first sign of someone even moving their mouse, they get accused of it. I'm not going to throw any names around or anything, but it's went from a serious problem with people cheating, to people whining about something that's all in their head. I, personally, seldom see it used at the JA. I really don't think there's a problem. The moral of the story is this; do your homework before you start throwing accusations of cheating at people. I like dueling people that use their 'exploits', because it means I have something to learn. I have to learn to avoid the move, counter it, whatever. That is what the JA is about, isn't it? There probably is an unofficial patch for all we know. But we're not going to attempt to look for it, nor are we going to use it. The reason is that we teach people to be better at JK3, not a modified JK3 that only runs to our liking. Some of you people are getting confused with exactly what is being stated in this thread. The point isn't "Oh, it's in the game, so we may aswell use it", nor is it "This stuff shouldn't be allowed anywhere, ever!". We at the Academy heavily discourage it because 1) It IS cheating, whether you think it is or not. 2) It's just cheap and lame. It's the 'Dark Side' of gaming - the quick, easy and most effortless way of 'winning'. However, we will teach you how to defend against it and even counter it using perfectly legitemate methods. We're not trying to change the face of JK3 outside the Academy, we know that people use, and will contunue to use these things reguardless. We know and accept this fact. Our Knights and Trainers know how to counter these things and fully intend on passing the knowledge to you. Some people say there should be Classes on how to counter them - I agree, consider it done! We are an Academy. Anything you want to know or learn that is legitemate - we will teach to you, we keep no secrets.
