yo guyz, was reading good old PC GAMER (uk) last week and saw a link to a JK:JA mod, thought "hmmm should chek that out", man was that a good idea, found possibly the coolest mod ever, not quite realeased yet, but will be out within a month or so. It is basically maps, skins, sabers and vehicles, all wrapped up into a timelined mod of all the coolest duels and fight scenes from EP's I, II, IV, V and VI, including the Darth Maul v Obi fight, the Obi v Jango, Yoda v Dooku, Obi v Vader, Luke v Vader :: SPOILER:: "I am your father" scene, and also the Throne Room duel. If that isn't making u think "COOL!!!" then u are no star wars fan, and should be expelled from the academy... jus jokin, but u should be ashamed of urself at least. I have downloaded it and played it. First impressions were: #1 it is a huge download - with an entire copy of the game in in; this is illegal. #2 my anti-virus pinged me - trojanning releases is a Bad Thing. #3 The mod is disorganised and badly put together. #4 Upon playing the missions I realised that the models and maps had been released by others years ago. #5 The missions were fragmented and poorly designed. #6 The language translations were poor. #7 The mod wasn't really much fun. firstly i don't give a toss about tim, whether or not the content is stolen or what other people are afraid about with downloading this mod.
this mod is is big in terms of content, i would know because ive actually downloaded it, and secondly i couldn't care less about how long people waited for this mod, if a couple of people curl up in a ball and cry because some foreigner didn't releases a mod on time then they have issues of there own. the fact is this mod is big, there is nothing wrong with it, except maybe ethics, and it was released and for free. I've read this topic many times. Laughing at people most of the time mind you.
Fact is, tim is a thieving, lying person, aswell as a medicore modder. i don't care if he did steel the content, or whether or not he scammed people out of money (which were donations so if a couple of idiots want to through away money on something they could get for free then thats there problem) i don't like tim, i have never defended him but this mod is epic, every starwars Character, with there own weapons, map and vehicles with other content that is highly useful,
it is not my concern if the models and maps are dirty so there was no bubble to burst. Well, my sources? My own experience since the release of jka, since the announcement of the mod. Since it was hyped up so much, and the guy has scammed people from money to buy a new fucking computer, stole other peoples content to put into a mod.
