Yeah, Im new hear just been accepted itno the academy, unfortunately recently I do not have a working copy, and will need to purchase a new one (what sucks is game prices hardly go down when it is for mac... *grrr* you should see how cheap you can get it for xbox, man 9.99 :p ) So, let me see if im corect, we got constant server witha huge map, that is actauly like an academy, right? We walk around the academy and there are only certain areas where peopel can go free for all and use guns... that is awesome!!!!! I can picutre it now, daily sparring and classes and all that. (heh, maybe ill come up with a class some day me self ) Now I know you need certain files to play on the server, so if I were to install a fresh copy of academy, could you give me an idea of what files I need ( Don't worry ill get academny eventaully... umm no strafe jumping is not a whole lot more complex... I do it all the time. Well, strafe jumping is something a lot more complex then just jumping to the left/right whilst looking forward. Oh and "advancing scissors" is a yellow stance technique in which you move forward whilst doing a scissor (left-right combo in yellow). strafe jump.. umm I hold left with joystick and and hold jump button... I actauly can't imagine my self aiming and coordinating properly with a mouse when using a lightsaber.. and the advancng scissors, I never used daul, so I can not reall answer that, but it was not really a move people used. on the xbox peopel fight quite a bit different DFAs were useless and same with lunges... although lookign what you have to press with teh advancing scissors, it might be a bit tricky. and fi you wondering how we hold A and do a sideways jump and aim with a gun, while that I can't explain how we pull it off... YES, MY TRAINING WELL BEGIN SOON. I have a copy of jedi academy for mac on its way by mail (will take around a week) ALSO i have purchased off of ebay a little device that allows my xbox controller to plug into a keyboard(USB) Not only will this help for jedi academy (since I played it for xbox), but most shooter games I play I can use it. ( I really hate having to redrag a mouse ) So since I have already payed teh money, I can guranteed you all I will be playing! Heh also since I can use a xbox controller on computer I can probally change the controls to what they normally are (since the buttons simulate keys) like puting more hot keys on teh xbox controller instead of having force power switch and weapon switch on the controller, also don't forget 'X' is normally used for talking to opposite team and taunting (which will not be a hotkey for multiplayer) then for weapon swapping ill hav teh weapons mapped out on the keyboard since I can still use the keyboard. (for a quick second I could hodl controller with one hand and press stuff on keyboard for weapon switching) Also with a mouse I might of 'wiggle'd a bit by accident by twichted the mouse back nd fourth, it a bit harder to do taht on xbox contorller since your joystick has to move from opposite end to oppiste end (compared to just moving right after left) Oh and your holocron did teach me one thing... you can use the run up the wall thing on other players  If the adapter does not work for some reason I guess I will just have to use keyboard and mouse. (and take the two clicker mouse from the other computer next to me) I can't wait to see you all out there! ( heh and im going to see if the graphic glitches work on computer like being able to do a walking backwards graphic while standing still, don't worry the graphic glitches do not effect gameplay, more in a sens gimp you since you have to take no force power in order to do it, except jump. by the smily i assume you meant that sarcastically but its actually what you should do. Situation 1) enroll an hour or more before class, don't show Instructor would waste tme going to class and you arn't there. Situation 2) You enroll 5 mins (better 10) before and know you can go Instructor check the list when its time for class, sees you there and meets you. Situation 3) Don't enroll at all (My personal favorite)  If noone else signed up the class is cancelled. If you dont sign up but CAN go then just turn up at the right time and 9/10 the instructor will let you join in anyway... Of course if theirs odd numbers in a tournement or you take it in turns to duel something. Don't be surprised if you are left out or have to wait to go last. I was reading up some classes and I noticed some did not accpet late. So I have to be able to know when I can be on ahead of time (which I never know... my parents like to tell me anythign the ast second ) and not be late. Well when I get my copy of academny, don't expect me to be able to make it to many classes (since I will be signing up and hoping I will be able to make it and most likey will not be able to) Especially with the chores on the fly system at our house. Although of course I will frequently be in the home server, I can promise that. I remeber reading somewhere about v2.... could be my imagination, I think ill still download the other files when I get it. (also did a bit of research and ti appears PC and MAC are 100% compatible for map wise and server wise) Thankyou you all for your warm welcoming. Also don't be surpised if I gota few techniques my self up my sleeve (althought there are some moves I can only pull off with a joy stick that involved high sensitivity , like a 3 hit combot with a strong stance light saber that is devestating) Normally im a staff use, but since I get the honor of a padawn I want to master single saber ( single sabers rule when you have 100% mastered them ) Can't wait to see how I would pull of the one hit finisher on a keyboard (you do a single straight down slice and then do a backflip, resulting a saber to go through the vertically twice in strong stance which can take someone out even if they have full shield, if it makes full contact) _______________ "Darkness is simply the absence of Light" "Is it not easier to snuff out the light completely than to make no shadow or darknes at all and create pure light?"
