JA Handbook: plz post your request for topics here. | |

There is a movement about to revive the JA Handbook...updated and improved. But we need your help. What would *you* like to see in the Handbook? How should it be constructed? Who knows? It's up to you.
DJ has suggested an idea (see "Little known moves" thread) which is essentially a database (searchable by key words - only looking for info on RDFA?...punch it in) and separate pages devoted to individual topics. MoS, Jake, and others have suggested something similar. JA members could give their input via comments. Perhaps JAT's could post some of their "study homework" here. Just some ideas. So, let us know what you want this to look like and how it would work best to help you improve your skills. Thanks. -rh _______________ Back from the dead... If it remains as a text document it might be kinda cool to have a forward by either DJ or massa. Kinda like a "welcome to the Acadmey!: Make the most of your time." thing.![]() ![]() _______________ "Negative. I am a meat popsicle." |

hm yeah, Aeth, good idea.
but as said in other posts, I think we should have some moderators and use this sort of a moderated forum. thus, everybody can submit. _______________ One of the Belouve boys, founder of the mighty FiZZsters Midbie council #20 - Fizz - #1933 - Jan '03 - Aug '04 "Renfield, you idiot!" |

Yeah I was thinking more, describe the section i.e. medium stance then split moves into difficulty.
Don't get me wrong I want this thing used by the academy, but not academy specific. I was hoping more of the game in general, so that people can use this when they play on publics and stuff. Just playing in general basically, so rules and code of conduct, map description, ranks, stuff like that, should be in the FAQ or another section of the site. This is all about playing (so I hope, dunno how much say I have in this though) _______________ Apprenctice of Jedi Master Ascari (deceased) Descended from a line of great Jedi Will argue any point of view from any side ![]() |

i like DJ's idea of having it as a searchable database. as far as content is concerned, i am sure with the amount of people we have, we won't miss out on anything ![]() but as for layout and stuff, i was thinking, like aeth, to divide it into experience levels. beginner, intermediate, and advanced. and then each one of these categories would be further subdivided into... i dono... say saber moves, force powers, general movement, guns and other weapons, other game modes, game commands and the art of the console, etc.. or maybe the other way around: divide it into these first, and then subdivide further according to the skill level. anywho... just my thoughts ![]() _______________ make install -not war This comment was edited by Bubu on Mar 12 2003 09:19am. |

well, actually I've already participated in the handbook, but a section for moves was discussed earlier.
But, to keep it readable and small, we should do another section. lets say one section with the basics, one section with the moves & combos, another one on tricks (iE those little known moves) and one about specials about maps.
