I just realized something. Luke's lightsaber in Episodes 4 and 5 is the same one Darth Vader used to murder a bunch of younglings. Obi-Wan probably just wanted to get rid of it, so he gave it to Luke without mentioning how terrible its history was. It's jinxed! In the entire series bad things happen to those who possess it or use it in a fight. Just look at the facts! |

Yes but Anikan wasn't always a rutheless killing sith-machine, he was a great pilot and jedi, and a good friend as Obiwan says  that lightsaber had many great and wonderous things done with it, like the countless missions Anikan went on with Obiwan, where Anikan had saved Obiwan many times, but that time on nemodia(spelling?) doesn't count  . _______________ Free Tibet! Anakin's saber in episode 3 = same saber luke uses in eps 4 + 5. and it is BLUE and has always been blue. However, it looks weird colors in the non special edition movies because that was the best effect they could get at the time.... Luke's new saber in ROTJ was one he constrcuted based on the same design as obi-wan's saber that he had from episode 2 on through to he died. There are many Speculations and EU interpretations of what happened to the 3 "lost" sabers from the films. The "lost" sabers are: 1) Anakin's / lukes saber from eps 3-5 after luke drops it. 2) Vader's saber after he loses it in the death star. 3) Obi- Wan's saber after Vader kills him and takes the saber with him. Notice one other thing: Jedi design their sabers differently but some looks similar. Anakin/Vader made all his sabers look very similar.... After luke lost his saber he created a new green one with a design based on obi wan's saber. _______________ It's a false hologram, it IS artificial... |

I have the original trilogy on video tape (I know, I'm outdated and obsolete) and lukes saber is kinda blue...looks almost pure white in some scenes but i think that just may be the quality of the cassette tape. And I'm probably wrong about Leia's saber being Vader's from the death star, I forgot about it blowing up and all that. But Leia's saber is red and I'm pretty sure it was referrenced to being her father's...but that's all EU stuff anyway. _______________ Be at peace, and you will discover things you never dreamed possible. |

No, Luke constructs a new (green) lightsaber in between Empire and Jedi. But my point earlier was about the symbology, within the films, of Anakin's saber. Nope. lets see if anyone follows this. maybe im wrong. The red bladed Lightsaber Vader has is Destroyed when the Deathstar blows up. The lightsaber Obi-Wan gives Luke in EpIV is blue. The Lightsaber Anakin fights Obi-Wan with in Ep3 is Blue. <<<<<<Game spoiler>>>>>>> after Obi-Wan Defeats Anakin on Mustaf or what the name of the planet is, He picks up Anakins Lightsaber and walks away. Of course, this image is destroyed when he finds out Vader is his father and HEY! he loses the blue lightsaber. And later Anakin is redeemed, once that lightsaber is forever lost.
