1) I really hated the constant sence change esspecally durning a saber fight.

I actually didnt notice this, and thats odd because it sounds like something i would notice ... I mean i didnt notice it now when i think back, but not at the time.

Quote:
2) When operation 66 was taken effect anyone notice how Yoda acted while all the Jedi were being killed? I think he had a force bond with all of them, so imagen everyone you ever loved and were emotionally connected to died at the same time?

I think that Yoda is just very skilled at feeling the force generaly, not specificaly set up bonds... Like when Obiwan sensed the destruction of alderan, yoda sensed the deaths of the jedi, but yoda doesnt need million (billions) of people to die in order to feel the tremours... and these were jedi, imagin if a platnet of jedi died... ouch

Quote:
3) Why couldnt Yoda fight Sidious without his saber?

Hmmm? what what what? You mean yoda didnt have his sabre ? and didnt fight sidous because of it ? or... if so , when was this ?

Quote:
5) Does anyone here think that when Mace had his saber to Sidious that Sidious acted weak so that Anakin would save him?

Yep not sure if the lightning reflection was deliberate though :P

Quote:
6) How is it that a bunch of children survive a attack but all the Jedi die?

Bunch of children ? I'm gunna assume you don't mean Padme's babies so that leaves the younglings... Well, A load of them were slaughtered, where exactly do we see that any survived ?

Quote:
7) Did you all see what Anakin said once Obi had beaten him "I hate you", Obi wan was being compassionat and Anakin still had hatred for him.
Little far gone by then though huh ? :P

Quote:
8) If it were me and my wife and kids just died and I was the strongest of both Sith and Jedi then I would have attacked Sidous since I had nothing left to lose.

Well, I dont think at that point Ani was really stonger than sidius, not by a long way, I mean Yoda almost beat him sidius,
Yoda is stronger than obi (not proven true but obvious to me) and ani lost to obi...

Ani (actually vader by now) only thought he was more powerful.

Afterwards, whats the point in killing sidius?
Vader still thinks there will be peace now, and believes in sidius, he may also still believe that sidius will be able to teach him to bring padme back to life ?

First off, the movie is awesome.

It was quite disheartening watching the clearly victorious Mace getting owned by Anakin and Palpatine's lightning. It would have seemed more correct to assume that the other Jedi with Mace would have actually put up a decent fight before dying to Palpatine, but two of them died in the first seconds, and Kit died after a couple of parries, leaving just Mace. These Jedis were members of the Jedi Council

The lightning explains Palpatine's disfiguring to me. However, I think Palpatine fabricated the story about bringing back the dead. Obviously, the apprentice in the story would have been him if he was speaking the truth, but I think, along with Palpatine stating that Anakin actually killed Padme with grip, Palpatine used the story to make young Skywalker give in to his passion and anger.

The part about Padme dying in childbirth creates a fuzzy interpretation of Leia's quote referring to her having known her mom and her mom being sad, from ROTJ. I guess the Force could have given Leia memories of her mom w/o actually knowing her.

The communication with the dead reference by Yoda was a bit abrupt. There could have been some followup scene. I was waiting for that explanation, and then I noticed that the movie was going to end with the classic Tatooine sunsets. Sort of lost the effect of the last scene, but I will go again and watch that. Maybe, when I'm totally awake, I'll understand that part better.

The movie was predictable but I loved it. The duels, which on most of them I predicted correctly before any of the trailers, were all impressive. Obi-Wan rocked. He may not have as much midichlorians as his apprentice, but he is well atune with the Force and much wiser (higher ground is better heh, esp. if you want to keep your legs). For the enormous task of filling in the gap between Ep.1&2 and the original trilogy, Ep.3 does a fantastic job. The constant action and buildup to the sad Jedi slaughter (66!) kept the movie entertaining. R2 was impressive, the little droid that could :) Yoda dissing Sidious/Palpatine and taking care of his royal guards with one flick of his wrist was great, although he did get fried once, but shot two bolts back at Palpatine. The Anakin Obi-wan duel will definitely rank as one of the best.

w00t for episode III

"Do not underestimate the power of the emporer!" - Yoda. surely if yoda has to run and hide then kit wouldn't make it.

Ob1 said he failed Anakin because he over protected him. He knew about his love for Padme and said nothing knowing that attachment lead to the dark side. He failed him because he also had attachments....he loved Anakin too which is against the Jedi training.

****

Opening scenes were visually spectacular considering they were all cgi...GL has really extended the 3d space thing.....WOW! I like the way they made Anakin and Ob1 fly in unison showing how synchronised they were as a team.

R2D2 was done really well. He was feisty!....full of character - trying to muffle Ob1's radio contact while hiding from the battle droids...hee hee hee.

The fight with Dooku was good, but didn't show Ob1 as very good. He barely did anything whereas the book tells how Ob1 and Anakin suck Dooku into thinking he is winning when they have the upper hand....not a complaint though.

I loved all the Yoda fighting scenes, especially the short one when he and Ob1 return to the burning Jedi Temple and fight the troopers.

I like the references not only to Ep I, II and IV, but also to the Clone Wars books. I think the young jedi boy who Bail Organa sees killed by troopers is Whie from the "Yoda - Dark Renezvous" book.

Fight scenes were excellent - General Greivous...."I thought you would be taller..."
:D

What an EXCELLENT film....definitely worth watching again!...then buy the DVD when it comes out....then the directors cut...then the final trilogy...then the remastered final trilogy...:D

Best film in years!

Ok so a couple of things I noticed:

1) I really hated the constant sence change esspecally durning a saber fight.

2) When operation 66 was taken effect anyone notice how Yoda acted while all the Jedi were being killed? I think he had a force bond with all of them, so imagen everyone you ever loved and were emotionally connected to died at the same time?

3) Why couldnt Yoda fight Sidious without his saber?

4) Sidious is a geneous the way he twisted and played Anakin

5) Does anyone here think that when Mace had his saber to Sidious that Sidious acted weak so that Anakin would save him?

6) How is it that a bunch of children survive a attack but all the Jedi die?

7) Did you all see what Anakin said once Obi had beaten him "I hate you", Obi wan was being compassionat and Anakin still had hatred for him.

8) If it were me and my wife and kids just died and I was the strongest of both Sith and Jedi then I would have attacked Sidous since I had nothing left to lose.

I had like a whole list of them if I remember any more Ill add them.

I think he failed him in the sense that he could've trained him better, to learn to keep his anger and the lust for power in check. I'm sure he considers himself a failure as a master in that respect.

Sidious, I'm sure I heard him say he was trained by a Darth Plagus (spelling?).

He is the Chosen one, he did destroy the Sith. The Jedi just didn't realize the price they would have to pay for that to happen.

I cannot believe what I saw, it's sad that the jedi were killed, plo koooooooooon!! I mean with operation 66 and all, they must've taught that to the clones when they where kids.

And Mace had palpatine beat! he won! then anikan killed him! I can't believe gah!

Very amazing movie, I love it even though its very sad

Yep, I agree. I hated the dissolves and wipes, too..

In any case, I don't know whether I like it or not. Some things are just so ridiculous, I laughed out loud in the theater. In any case, i'll probably figure it out when I watch it again.

that had to be the best one yet....man it was just amazing. I especially liked the countless references to the "old" movies (episode 4-6). Such as the ships that look very similiar, but aren't exactly the same, and things like that. It really tied the story together. Also, despite the fact that like everyone dies, its not drawn out, and therefore its still an awesome movie. Its sad that all the jedi died, but we all know that in time the light side will regain its power

Well, I have a dry run with my costume now, so that'll do well.

As for the "Anakin being revived" thing, I was just going off of the book, where Sidious says "Live, my apprentice. Live", while laying his hands upon his cracked brow, after just pulling him from the lava stuff.

I'll see what the movie has o say. The book could have different interpretations.

I do have a couple more thigs I was waiting to see if the movie revealed, so I think I will avoid this forum until after I see the movie (a few more hours).
