I believe the Jedi made mistakes, one is, seperating the child from the family, plus maybe Vader would sense them too soon, and it would all end. I mean Luke was trained a little bit on tattooine where the empire was, but he was really trained on Dagobah way away from any civilization.

Ok how about this one:

When baby Luke was born it must have been obvious how strong in the Force he was so why didnt they train him at a young age? He should have trained with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. So that when he fought Vader he would be alot stronger then he is when he fought him in the movie.

Quick question about the soundtrack...

Does anyone know the name of the song playing on the scene showing Anakin leading the Clone Troopers into the Jedi Temple?

Truely, if it had been a straight up duel where sidious had to fight Yoda Face to Face, Blade to Blade. Yoda would have owned him to Naboo and back!:D

Meh Yoda > Sidious.

The only reason he fell was cause of the knockback.
He put up his pissed off Yoda face and threw it all back.
I still see people saying Yoda got owned etc. but I think it's clear that Yoda outmatched Sidous in most areas.

So yeah. Sidious got hella lucky :P

The emperor is a n00b lightning whore.

First Mace,
Then Yoda,
Then Luke,
Then himself.

I mean, if you take that away you could almost say he would have been killed long before. Yoda would have had him, had he not slipped.

Personally, I think the Emperor was just lucky. If Yoda hadn't slipped and if Mace wasn't just sitting there taking in the moment then he would have been finished off.

as far as i know jedi/sith can feel other ppls feelings... so why she didnt feel that time?
same with others...

True that, they can feel what thier oppoenents will do before they do it...
However...
Firstly) They had no reason to be reading the mind of thier clone "allies" at the time, and were taken by surprise... its not a spider-sense, Jedi actually have to deliberatly try to read minds, they arn't automaticaly alerted to others feelings... Unless its exceptionaly strong, or the feelings of someone you are close to (Vader + Obi in ep4, Obi + Aleran(ians?) in ep4)

Secondly) I read in one of the EU books that clones minds seem some how "weird" to jedi, and its not a pleasent feeling to read the minds of clones... It stands to reason therefore that it may also be a little more difficult to be able to get into the minds of clones quickly... and they didnt have much time....

Yoda did detect the clones approaching to kill him but... He was stronger in the force than most (all?) other jedi, and he already knew somthing was "Fishy" as he could sense the death of his fellow Jedi council members

I believe that Palpatine was really and truly beaten by Mace. I just don't believe he was as beaten as he made himself out to be. "Oh I'm so weak!" Yeah, right. He wasn't down for the count. Mace beat him, yes, he was down, but he wasn't down for the count, just gathering his strength. I do believe that Anakin's help was part of the plan--he may not have known exactly how it would pan out, but getting Anakin to attack a Jedi was part of his plan.

Something else I really liked about Ep III: The business of the "prophecy" is left open to interpretation. I never really liked that particular part of the story, but I find it a lot more palatable now. Remember, Yoda is highly skeptical of the whole prophecy thing from the beginning. Windu seems to accept it provisionally, qualifying every statement about it--"If the prophecy is true..." and "If he is the Chosen One..." In the end a number of interpretations all fit the story perfectly. The prophecy could have been misread. Luke might have been the Chosen One. Or Anakin is the Chosen One, but he becomes a Sith for a couple decades before he kills off the Sith (my second favorite interpretation). Or the whole prophecy business is a load of Bantha fodder anyway (my favorite interpretation). Whichever one you like best works with the story.

Not necessarily beat him. I believe he prolonged the duel with Mace so he could wait to see if Anakin would show up. Of course, Anakin did, and he then had the opportunity to persuade Anakin to help him. I don't believe he predicted that Mace would deflect his lightning back at him, but that just gave him an excuse to buy time, with all the complaining of how weak he was and all. In the end, he got what he wanted, and Anakin turned against Mace to help him.

In response to Mr. Hot Raider's question, I believe the expanded universe has nothing on the films as they are what George Lucas, the creator, has in mind. Even if Ki-Adi-Mundi was a Jedi Knight at the time, they still never said it in the movie, so technically it would be "non-canon".

Ki-Adi's death was really cool though, I do wish that they showed more of them like Shaak Ti.

I believe that the force can be naturally strong in an entire family and can be run that way. On the other hand, there are anomalies such as Anakin who are predestined to be born with such incredible force attunement as the prophecy says.

Out-of-Subject-Question: Do you believe Palpatine allowed Mace Windu to beat him so that he could slowly but surely turn Anakin to the dark side?

Not sure about the first one but the one about Jedi not being able to have famailes its proably because the force chooses who they want to be strong in, not the paranets. Jedi are like diomands, they cant be made they have to be found.

Alrighty I got a tiny question. Its about Jedi having relations. Alright Lukes Jedi's can have wives/husbands we know this obviously because Corran Horn is married, and of course Luke himself is married to Mara. My first question is why has luke chosen to veer away from the old jedi ways like this? (this is something I agree with luke on, jedi should be able to have families...which brings me to my next point) Secondly if 'back in the day' Jedi weren't allowed to mate then how were their more Jedi? Its been firmly established that Jedi traits are herediatry. (Corran's great granddad was a Jedi, Lukes father was Anakin..duh..and also established further more when Qui-gon questioned Anakins mother who the father was.) So if its hereditary and Jedi can't have family...how did the Jedi carry on the genes so that there could be more Jedi.

Phew...confusing lol :(

All those connections to the original trilogy sometimes seem a bit contrived though. Like Chewbacca appearing for five seconds, meeting Yoda. Gee, it's a small universe!

"You killed my father!"
"No, Luke... I AM your father."
"NO! That's impossible!"
"And Leia is your sister!"
"That's... improbable!"
"And the evil Empire will be destroyed by Ewoks!"
"That's... not very likely..."
"And when I was a kid, I built C3PO!"
"Look, if you're not gonna take this seriously, I'm outta here."

Hahahah! Nice one :D

Agreed, but Dooku is never unarmed as long as he has his mind. The Force is a weapon.

Xactly, hands should not be a requirement to conjure force lightning.

QUESTION :O
In ep3, Anakin says it's an outrage they allow someone who has not reached the rank of master to be in the council, how about this?
Ki-Adi-Mundi was the only member of The Jedi Council who was not a Jedi Master. He was discovered early on and taken to Coruscant to begin his Jedi Training. Although he was a Jedi, Ki still lived by many of his cerean customs. He had five wives and several daughters. Ki was among the Council members that tested Anakin Skywalker when Qui-Gon Jinn brought him to Coruscant. Ten years later he was among the Jedi that went into battle on Geonosis. He was also one of the few surviving Jedi..
Just wrong info or.. ?
