Don't be so hard on the guy. After all, aren't knights meant to serve the academy? This guy wants to serve the academy, and there's nothing wrong with expressing that. Unfortunately asking to become a knight isn't the way to becomming one. You are unlucky, as this thread may well count against your chances of becoming one in the future to some peoples minds. If only there was a class people could attend where they found out what it really takes to become a knight, and what it's like once you become a knight. There have been these classes in the past, and perhaps in time there will be another. I strongly suggest you try to attend one should you get the chance. Checking out the threads about being/becoming a knight are also good, if a little less hands on. Time isn't a huge factor in being selected for knight. Sure, the ranked members who decide these things usually need a bit of time to get to know who you are and what you're about, so really new students aren't going to be toggled on their first day. However, I think the assessment that you have been here long enough to be considered for toggling (going purely by your profile ID) is quite accurate. My advice is just be around, be a nice guy/girl and just have fun. Don't worry about being a knight too much, because plenty of people who may have been good knights were never given the chance, it's no slight on yourself if you aren't chosen. As to how you let the rest of the academy know you are ready and willing to try for knight, should they want to give you the opportunity? I don't know that there is an appropriate way to make sure they know. I guess you just have to wait and hope that the idea occurs to someone, and that leads to them wanting to find out if it is the case.
