I really don't know which is the best, so here's a poll :) Right now I'm torn between Yellow and red. What do you guys think? I haven't seen many use blue, so this will be interesting. I'm expecting some kind of Red-Yellow-Blue Outcome.

Indeed, blue is very interesting, and underestimated. But its defence is just pathetic, and a yellow scissors or buzzsaw cuts through blue defence like a warm knife through butter.

Then again, i dont have a lot of experience in fighting with (or against) blue.

Well, look me up on IRC or MSN sometime, and I'll introduce you to it. ;)

Agreed. But I dont think u can pull off a victory with mere blue swings vs a decent dual saberist.

Maybe it's just the way I do it, but I usually find that I have a better hit percentage against duals when using blue than when using yellow or red. By hit percentage I mean the amount of hits that aren't blocked or parried, not the amount that I actually manage to not miss. :D

On the other hand, its defense is pathetic. In general, I recommend whipping it out as a "surprise attack", getting in a few quick swipes and/or a kata, and then switching back to something with better defense. On the other hand, its low auto-block level has helped my parrying/countering skill quite a bit. It's definitely an interestingly balanced style.

blue effective against dual sabers hey? from my own experience, i have to disagree.

Blue can be used effectively to counter red, but other than that, its pretty much useless.

Feel free to disagree tho, thats just my experience.

Yellow pwns, red pwns and blue pwns... But remember. These only pwn if you can make them pwn :)
Don´t ask which stance is the best but which one fits you the best... When you know all the stances you are a true pwnzor ad you should aim for them all... But first start with the one you like the most... It´s hard for me to tell it right here but if we take a few duels, I might be able to tell you which stance seems to fit you the best... I recommend red if you are a starter and yellow after you can handle your movement... Now this is just basic stuff but I guess I´m trying to say the best stance for you is the stance that is the best stance for you :) take care

indeed. yellow+hopping+scissor move will
get u killed if u hop away all teh time.
as for effectivness... well i think carefully placed overhead right from above is more effective on most ways :P

Are you really that ignorant of what I posted? I said hopping is the BEST way, not the ONLY way to evade. Ask anyone. It's better than flipping cause you can see your opponent, and it sure as hell is better than rolling or just running away.

You also assume your opponent is careless. Any true player would not get cocky if somebody switches styles. They adapt. They would not be foolish enough to let their opponent hit them, even if they do pretend to be inexperienced.

indeed.
if u can only evade by jumpin... well practise and find some other way. that always comes handy :)
and yeah there is no best stance. in fact a lot of players are pwned not by some stance but by how quickly and how surprisingly u change them :)
example : u trick ur opponent so he thinks u just messed urself with yellow swings and he attacks ... when he is close enough( but not too close) u launch red stance right swing. lots of damage from one pretty lame swing. no jumping at all :P

All of the styles are effective in the right hands. You guys seem to make assumptions that one style is better. Even blue is an effective style, tho it has very low defense. If you make one mistake you can be killed with blue diagonals in less than a second. And about the red swings and having to jump away..that isnt true. If you jump away from a red swing, your going to get killed by most decent players.

Hopping as in jumping and doing headshots. No matter how you put it - an effective red user has to know how to jump away, and TO, their opponent and close tha gap. Yellow you can get away with running, but red, you have to jump away after a swing ends.
