Dunno if I'm gonna get flamed for this... but what the hell.

I found with certain ball mouses, if you slid it fast enough, and actually lift the mouse off the mousepad, the ball will keep spinning, as well as your character. I once maintained a crazy spin for 10 seconds doing that.

Once again, I don't know if this is a new revelation, or if it's a really old trick, so just be very kind to me, as I am still trying to figure out poke lol. :P

um? so now aiming your saber is an EXPLOIT? aiming bugs the game? come on man, this is just getting out of hand and very absurd IMO.

I totally agree on this one.

The way things are going right now is that it seems like every sort of mouse movement during a swing is called an exploit.
Based on sazabis definitions of exploits, the legendary L-Rod was the biggest exploiter in the history of the JA...and he was a trainer here >_>

However, as I read, this is what I gather about poking, or wiggling, as either one of the following:
1) Moving your mouse very fast as you swing.
2) Moving your mouse along as your saber moves so as to increase the area of damage.
3) Moving the *opposite* direction from your saber's swing so as to keep the crosshair stuck.

I'm still slightly confused. Could you guys please explain a little bit more? Thanks a lot.

1. Moving your mouse left and right a very short distance very quickly = wiggling
2. Moving your mouse along the same path as your saber moves = swaying (easiest to do with chained yellow diagonals and staff diagonals)
3. Moving the *opposite* direction from your saber's swing so as to keep the crosshair stuck = extension

Poke = extension + wiggle

that's from the 3th dictionary on JA (which i've not found on any shelves anywhere btw). i think those definitions are congruent with most ppl's though.

hmmm thats weird 13
coz i heard a lot ppl sayin that your 'extension'
is just pro version of pokin.
because... both wiggle type poke and extension type poke servers one purpose - movin your mouse so saberbeam stays in the body as long as possible. its just other type imo...

Based on The Jedi Academy's Definition of "Exploits":
moveing your mouse fast in the same direction of the swing (only) = very fast "spin" or "sway"(depending on if you go a full 360 degrees) = "exploit"
Moveing your mouse very fast in a left-right-left-right pattern= "wiggleing" or "pokeing" = "exploit"
moveing your mouse slowly and evenly in the oppisite direction of the swing so as to get the saber to stay in the same place = Extension = not an "exploit".

Thanks for the comments, guys. Initially, I read about this thing somewhere else in the forums, that it was forbidden, but being the illiterate noob I am, I decided to ask here. Thanks a lot guys.

Wiggleing = moveing your mouse back and forth very very fast. This tactic adds velocity to your swing and changes its area of an effect. Because of this it is defined as an "exploit", Many players on public servers use tactics like this but they are frowned upon here at the academy.

Pokeing = Wigglieng a horizontal swing (most commonly a right red swing) at any point of the swing (NOT JUST THE VERY END!- common misconception) of course this is also frowned upon at the JA as it is basically another, more specific definition of wiggleing.

As Mastz00r said, theese tacitcs were invented in europe seveal years ago and is common in the ESL and on many public servers. The JA takes an official stance that theese tactics, among others are exploits and are dishonorable. Bear in mind that that is the opinion of the JA and you must draw your own conclusion.

isnt poke in red stance and you do a horizontal swing and move the mouse so the saber stays in the same spot?
Nien thats a extension. a poke or 'wiggle' is used with any swing, normaly with right, and wiggling your saber right to left, to keep the dcenter of your swing everywere. nasty.
