I read up on this a bit when I first read this article. It turns out: -Games were indeed banned. -The first cases to come to court for this law were turned down by the judges. -The government was warned by the EU to change its laws several times before complying. -They changed the laws to state you can't play games to win money. _______________ Padawan to the great Jacen Aratan! <Setementor> Scythus is a genius! Hold on just a darn tootin' minute, has anyone else noticed that thing is dated 3rd of September 2002? Another thing, I went on the site that says they had a petition running. Nothing of the sort, in fact they were even discussing games on it, which are supposedly illegal. I'm guessing the law was abolished. That's just too damn stupid! It shows that the government is unable to put forth efforts to nail the types of games that actually are illegal (games associated with gambling), and instead just bans all of it to save time or something. Gaming is entertainment, and entertainment is extremely important now-a-days. I can think of at least one more device used for entertainment; the television. I wonder how long it takes before the Greek government orders everyone to get rid of their TVs. This is just stupid! BTW: I wonder if cmad has been fined / arrested. _______________ In the navy and LOVING it!
