I assume full responcibility for ozz's name being #1 in the bwn. Sauce, tido, myself, deqlyn, and some others volunteered to give his name our stats in order to have his name acieve the nubmer 1 ranking without his knoledge. We did it as a joke and for the screenshot, which we got. We did not intend to disrupt the BWN stats system and have no malicous intent to the BWN or its players/admins. I will ask him to close his league name so that the name goes away. I take responcibility for the mishap. I am very sorry to the people who this affected in a negative way and I assure all that it will be put right as soon as possible. Please do not lay judgement on ozzcoz or anyone who posted on that thread as they had no knoledge of the situation. ~JK13_______________ It's a false hologram, it IS artificial... |

I'm not sure what to say. But I guess it's time that I at least said something. I don't feel blameless in this. I realised pretty quickly what my friends were doing, and I did nothing. Honestly, I haven't had time this week to deal with Academy issues due to the volume of work and stress I am under. But I should have done something, so I am not guilt free. Also, I know these guys did it partly to make me smile, and not (I hope) because they wanted to make a fool of me. I still do count you guys as my friends, I am just a little disappointed that this has happened. Hopefully it will pass. Finally, while I need make no appologies to those involved with the BWN, I realise this is not what you guys want to happen. Please get into contact with me on IRC (quakenet #jedi-academy channel), MSN, ICQ or on my email (check my profile for these details) and hopefully we can do something to fix this as soon as possible. I have lost a name I had worked hard at to improve even slightly on the BWN. I have lost a lot of people's respect too I am sure. You guys don't have to be so apologetic. Someone cheating their way to the top of the rankings is practically a weekly occurance on BWN, and most if not all of the top ten are multiple name users anyway, which I also consider a cheap and unrealistic judgement of actual ranking. There are, however, a very small amount of players I've seen who don't use any form of exploitation on the league charts and I try to stick up for them by stemming the obvious cheaters from reaching the top for very long. Also, the problem you have to understand is that there are no BWN administrators anymore, as far as I know. There are the individual rcon holders for each server but there is no one who can admin the stats anymore, or even moderate the BWN forums either, which is why that thread on the JA was never locked or deleted. Without anyone to admin the stats, it's very hard to stop players who do what you guys did to get ozz to the top. |

Please everyone, don't do something like this. We've had good relations with the administrators of the BWN community, and we do not wish to lose that over a silly little game. Sinistar, I appologize for coming off harsh and irrational in the previous thread. It was not my intent, and I should've let someone else speak for the staff to start off with. I've had a somewhat frustrating day, and I ended up taking it out on you a little bit, which I should not have done.
