Heey, this article didn't include other sources of violence, like TV, the police, real life in general, slaughter houses, I'm pretty sure the bible has violence in it too... I agree with your point, Dice. I took Psych 101 this spring and it made me look at studies in a whole different way. I have to agree, there is no solid evidence in that article. Just people trying to piss us off, d**n them! We're violent by nature (as said before), and it has been that way for thousands of years. I took a class all about studying the media. because of that class this article just annoyed me. If my best friend and I play games the exact same amount, and he goes in to see a psycologist because hes more violent then me, how is that the games fault? thats genetics and how he/she was raised. 2) wtf is a handful? is that 3 or is that 600 So basically, there is absoultly no hard evidence in that article. Its just a bunch of semi-facts manupulated and reworded to make it sound worse then it is. People need to read things more carefully and listen more carefully before just believing. The media is the most manipulative thing ever. Every fact that is said on any TV show can be reworded to sound completely different. Manhunt was fun in a really.. really sadistic way. You need to be able to tell the difference between a game and real life to be able to play a game without being affected by it's contents. I guess there are some people out there who can't. Am I just repeating myself? Games are just a pychological factor into the mind, for those that take it into some serious influence. I mean, movies and music often have some connections to violence, so why not ban them also? |
