Hey guys! What do you think of having JA musicians throwing down some xmas tracks and then having JA Radio play it for us all to enjoy? Each person will pick a classic xmas song to do in their own rendition and then submit it to me to be broadcasted. Then on one day (Christmas) we'll broadcast all day JA members giving their best! Just an idea right now but we'll have to move fast if we want to do this! Deadline is going to be December 22st! I'll present the idea to the combo. All 4 of us are against playing Christmas music for the most part, but they might be persuaded to make an exception. If they won't, I happen to have right here a couple of excellent takes of the Bill Evans Trio performing Santa Clause is Coming to Town. And...I can't really sing either. Basically look at it this way. I shall rule this project with an Iron fist. If you do something retarded like Eminem's Christmas, it will not be played on the list . I like well done versions of classics or original works. So can we get some commitments? Janus has already pledged to get wasted and read the poem "The Night Before Christmas"! |
