just saw it a couple days ago.. i thought it was pretty cool how it made [sometimes] subtle references to and comments on contemporary society without actually having to parody or satirise issues to a great extent, although i guess the heavy use of exaggeration brought out the same effect anyway. Admittedly the movie itself wasn't exactly riveting; the word 'Vendetta' in the title kind of misled me to believe that it would be a crazy ass action movie with the typical man-on-a-mission character out to kick some villainous ass, the final couple of scenes had some good stuff though  In the end I guess I still found it interesting in the sense that it was unusual and thought provoking. agreed with ashyr and whoever else said that V's speech with a tonne of words beginning with v kicked ass. I don't understand why everyone seems to hate Natalie Portman myself, she has been in some good films (Leon and Garden State for a start), and acted well enough in them.
