I didn't expect england to come this far to start with. Anyways. Isn't asking for a card/player to get sent off also worth giving a card for? In fact. Didn't the FIFA make it a rule? Doesn't that mean Ronaldo should have gotten atleast a yellow card? Even though Portugal eliminated Holland (in one of the weirdest matches I've ever seen btw) they're my favorite team to win the cup. So this isn't some rant against Portugal, or another point to discuss. Just my opinion. And... Just drop it? ummm ronaldo wasnt involved in that foul and he got pushed coz of no reason by rooney. ref saw this aggressive action AND MADE A DECISION. u cant say he got sent off for nothing, u cant say he was really worth a red card either. thats the constant pressure refs are getting in every match - they are the ones to decide things not players or (ESPECIALLY) fans or any other ppl around. besides pushing others around is just not nice. ill push u and probably get a fist in to my face anyday. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. Well i am virtually neutral on this so i will add my opinion. Both parties here are correct to some extent, yes Rooney was an idiot to do what he did to Cavalho, he gets frustrated too easily etc etc. However it is true that Ronaldo did seem to set out to wind him up from the very start of the game. The wink Cuzza points out is the final detail. Overal well played to England to overcome the loss of Rooney, I felt Lennon played far better than Beckham once he was on the pitch too. Oh and Hargreaves is the FIFA man of the match, and rightly so. tbh the whole rooney thing im pretty sure ronaldo told them to wind him up if u see before the match he actually whispers somehting in rooney's ear and headbutts him and u see rooney hold back and smile. i guess ronaldo grinded him down, also u dont see england crowd the referee do you its silly. also i think the stamp was accidental and he got the card for the push on ronaldo which im sure rooney will nut him at old trafford next season _______________ If you add me to MSN, tell me who you are
