Hope there isn't already a thread about this... has anyone else been watching this show? Just watched the first 11 episodes and I think it's freaken awesome; plot, characters, super powers - all of it. I'm hearing Season 1 continues this Monday. Sylar is infected with the virus.
Also due to the writer's strike there is the possibility of a shortened season. They have enough for episode 11 which may also put an end to volume 2, and even have written and alternate ending for the possibility of making episode 11 the season finale. So here's hoping all the greedy morons in Hollywood realize that both sides are going to have to give up something or it'll end up costing more. every infected loses powers. no exceptions.
hmmm as for being the most powerful villain... seriously thats boring. almost like shredder in turtles or megatron in transformers. sure they are strong characters like sylar etc, but i watch heroes for storyline, not for some generic scenario that happens in every episode. and thats how sylar looks. imagine if he had his powers... booooring. _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. since i doubt sylar is gonna be the main villain in this season i wonder what is his role?
i kinda feel that he might become neutral for awhile. maybe he will become infected with that virus, act nicely and then some good-hearted hero will spare him... only to get killed by sylar later. sounds like a possible scenario _______________ playing jk3 since 30th of january (2005), member since 1st of february. I think Kensei turned them over once he saw the swordsmith's daughter kissing Hiro, although there is the possibility that he is on good terms with white beard and wants to go back to the white people. As the painting suggests, looks like Hiro and kensei will have their showdown soon.
Looks like Mr. Bennett is back to his old self with the Haitian along with him. Looks like the Haitian's ability has been enhanced somewhat (sounded like that, could have just been the same exact thing in reality). Claire's stalker boyfriend is a punk. Reminds me of Anakin falling over to the darkside, exercising his powers for not-so-good things. I knew Mohinder wouldn't give Mica's cousin the Shanti Virus. It was against his morals and mentioned it could mutate into a strain that could affect normal human beings. This little bit explains what Peter sees in the future. Not sure what is up King Midas (my nickname for him, considering his power lol). He was rather bipolar. First, rather evil and then rather nice with Mica's cousin. I found it rather funny that Niki is going to be Mohinder's partner, looks like he can't do his undercover agent stuff as easily now. the latest episode was the best of the season so far. the storylines are all building up nicely!
hiro vs kensae!!! raeko finds out that the masked "kensae" that she fell in love with was in fact hiro in disguise! she and hiro kiss while kensae looks on from behind a tree. we find out later that kensae betrayed them to white beard (wasn't there a white beard in kill bill vol 2?). presumably, kensae betrayed them after witnessing their intimate moment, but we don't know that for certain. anyway, hiro, raeko, and swordsmith are in a dai pinch! in the mr. bennet storyline we see a painting of hiro and kensae engaged in a duel--press k for accept, hiro! the painting's a sign of things to come but i really do hope that kensae proves to be a good guy in the end. he looks too much like doogie howser to be a baddie  .
alejandro and sylar faces off! without his powers, sylar gets smashed up pretty badly by alejandro. lol he couldn't find a brick or a coffee mug as a weapon. after the fight, sylar professes that when he gets his powers back, he'll kill alejandro. and even if his powers do not return he's got a good enough hold on maya to get her to do his bidding. sylar tells alejandro this because alejandro doesn't understand english...which is really strange considering that maya does. what the hell happened there? did their parents send only maya to school? that's extreme favoritism! anyway, sylar is ghey. claire's boyfriend is suspicious. he just says things that are so retarded it makes you wonder. he says something like he's above his parent's control because he can fly? wtf? he must be abnormal. does he even live with his parents? he's a spy! he's up to no good! mohinder rejects the dark side! yes, he has made me proud by not injecting the shanti virus thingamajig into maica's cousin. surprisingly, his boss, fat glasses guy (FGG), apologized for making him do the dirty and turned all nice, even giving away a free iphone. FGG is up to no good i just know it. peter and girlfriend travels to time square nyc 2008! too bad not alot of other people are around with the city evacuated and all. the background picture of time square is pretty recent! lol friday's is still on the corner. little note to y'all visiting time square: don't play lazer tag at that arcade! it's whack and overpriced. anyway, next week we'll probably find out that the virus killed off most of the population. i blamed FGG. still, before they travelled into the future, we find out that peter was expected to be in montreal by someone named john or something i can't remember. apparently, before he was locked away in the ipod storage place, peter was on some type of mission to save the world from some type of danger. is it the virus? or veronica mars' daddy? what is it???!!! bennet is gangstuh. yeah we learned that once more. he's hardcore and you don't get in his way if you know what's good for ya. he ends up finding all 8 of issac mendez's paintings. too bad he doesn't know what most if any of them means. I believe Candice and Matt's dad have two different types of powers. While Candice has the power of illusion, which has a physical sense to it, Matt's father uses his power to affect other people's minds, linking it to his initial ability to read people's minds (an "evolved" power you could say). Candice can physically change the environment and her body through illusions. Matt's dad does his "illusions" all through his victim's head, drawing upon their own worries/fears to create the illusion, as if they were in a nightmare. Of course, he could use them for "good" by not giving people nightmares, but I was focusing more on the difference in the types of powers they have.
