The Oldbie thread gave me this idea, but i will never post in there for oldbie's are elitist and scary. 
So what was your first games system? What console or personal computer got you into playing video games and such? Sonic is good, but I'm very partial to Mario. That is to say, I still play Super Mario World daily, without fail, because it's simply that bloody good. |

Nintendo Entertainment System. I still remember jerking my controller up when I hit the jump in mario. In the time we had our NES game systems we had the 4 controller wireless hookup, an NES advantage controller and even the running pad.
That NES controller made the cheat in Megaman 3 much easier to do without a second player. I can hardly remember what I did gaming-wise back in the early 90's [memory limited to ages 7 and up]. Although, for as long as I can remember, I've been playing the neo-geo. It's probably what sparked my interest in gaming since I love playing older fighting games like KoF or The Last Blade. My first PC was a 386 which we (my brother and I) bought for a huge price (at those days it was a top-line machine). I used to play games on the MSX and the PC (you know: Commander Keen, Duke Nukem, Crystal Caves, etc). My first real video game system was a NES. |
