Would it be correct to just 'transfer'the JATs who're gonna play JA to that part of the academy?

We're not splitting up.
We're going to hold both JK2 and JK3 classes. If the demand for JK2 classes goes down the tubes we'll focus more on JK3. As for JK3 trainers I'd like to give our vurrent JKA's and JAT's preferential treatment, but I don't know how well that would be received . I suppose we'll start out like we did before, see whos the best player, has a willingness to teach, and interfaces with people well. _______________ My car is made of Nerf. |

THe academy would have some problems. One way which would be quite unpopular would to split it up completly, and give control of the JK2 side over to a few JACs who aren't getting JK3. Just a possibility. I hope it doesn't happen. _______________ The Notorious Conversation Killer |

Omg, this is weird. All i know is that I'll save cash for this game. The week it comes to the store in Norway, I'll get it. If I'm lucky, I can get a beta or something like a test or a pirated copy. I'll buy the game whatever happens, but if I can get a pirated version, I'll use it as a demo or something, and buy the game when it comes out.
I'm seariously looking forward to this game, and I'll buy it if it costs 6 times the price of other new games (NOT the 6 times price thing..I'm a terrible liar). !w00t! I want a human male jedi without anything that lookes anything like that traditional old republic jedi outfit, I want a dark outfit, cool thing that looks like a dark jedi thingy! 
Edit: and a blue saber, mabye dual bladed! Edit 2: The illegal copy thing... I mean as a demo of the game, just to see how cool it really is! I know positively I'll be getting this game, so that's one instructor that we know of .
And yes, it will be a while until classes are able to be held. But when I get new games as cool as JK:JA will be, I'm on that thing 24/7 learnin the ropes . JK:JA and JK2 will be quite similar, save for the few additions. But as mentioned, it'll be a sinch to get the hang of. Then we'll have classes in no time . _______________ Luke Skywalker

hhhmmmm since it'll be a new game, and well already be set up, well prob get a lot more new players. since the number of students will prob decline up until then, therell prob be the old school players (ones who had the game, prob a small group), and then the next generation.

good point buzz, IMHO i see the new Jedi Knight game as the true home for the Jedi Academy, from whats known soo far it has some of the features that Jedi Knight II is missing to have a real academy. ill be getting the new game the day it comes out for sure _______________ When a Man lies he murder's some part of the world. I think that is going to depend on a few factors.
#1) How many of the trainers will be getting the game. Also the number of students as well. It could be several months before a lot of people can get a new game. Not everyone has a large disposable income to buy a game as soon as it comes out, or the willingness to use a pirated version of the game. #2) Time to learn the game. This is going to be a new game and I don't think having classes for playing it the first week it comes out will be very plausible. Since Trainers would also have to learn the game. #3) Similarity to JK2. Yes its using almost the same comabt system as JK2. But not exactly. Some of the instructors might be able to pick up on the newer features quicker than others, but so might some students. So you could have a student that is pretty crappy at teaching a stance in JK2 but could be flawless in teaching a Double Bladed lightsaber class in the new game. #4) Servers. No one will be teaching anything about the game if we aren't able to find servers to play it. "Why can't we just convert the servers we have now to the new game?" Because that would alienate those that can't get the game the moment it comes out. Depending on when the game is released some people might not be getting it until Christmas which could be several months. Remember that the academy didn't open until may or june (I don't completely remember) and JK2 came out in March. That's a few months in between. I wouldn't be worried about classes for it yet.
