jedi academy problems

hey, got problem, cant play jedi no more, comes up with a error saying....

GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem

i been running vista last week or so, an now its coming up with this, i have actually had this b4, but i think it was when i had a different graphics card in, i tried installing it on my dads computer, which also has vista on now, with my graphics card in, but it worked lol... any ideas?

Hi! Take a look at this thread here.

There is the same error message and according to the thread it could be done by updating the video driver. Make sure you have the latest drivers, and if so you might want to try to reinstall them.

Especially with Vista I can imagine that there are still a load of problems with full OpenGL support, so looking for latest drivers might really fix this.

I used to get this message once in a while when I still had old drivers. Since I have the latest version, there is no problem anymore in that, although I am not using Vista.

I have had a similar problem, though it wasn´t JKA, but a different game. If my memory serves me, the problem was that the GL driver was missing, but I needed it to run this game. The solution was to find a copy of this driver and install it. I believe a legal version can be found on the internet, free to be downloaded.
I'm not totally sure if this is gonna help you, but since it might I suppose there's no harm in posting it. (Though I recommend you don't do anything you are unsure of benefitting your PC just because I suggested it :P)
