Speed rage JK1 jumping was good, but the whole game wasn't as fast paced as JKII or JK:JA will be, people would get bored of waiting to cahrge it up. for the love of god, they should go back to jk1 jumping. you had to charge your jump with gave a cool crouch animations. the longer you charged the higher you jumped, much more like in the movies or even the cutscenes of jk2. it made a nice sound too. was way cooler than in jk2 and wouldnt allow that silly air combos oh, and why not get a bit matrix style? run on walls, real kicks and punches, bullet time (slow motion). stuff like that. force struggles would be cool aswell. like saber locks, but with force. something like player A want to throw an object to the right, player B wants to throw it to the left. the one who clicks faster/better/bigger wins. actually i have no idea how to combine forces. i mean, you could already use several forces, no? absorb+speed... absorb+protect... what do they want to change? only thing that makes sense to me is that thing dooku did, grip+lightning. but what else? :/ _______________ Aeth S'kray *June 2002 +September 2003 |

Grip and saber throw is already in JK2, only in SP though, it's really effective against Shadowtroopers considering enemies are forced to deactivate their sabers when they're being gripped. _______________ Luke Skywalker |

Force influenced objects aren't possible to be made by mappers as this is only in the singleplayer source code, which wasn't released, only the MP code was. I doubt that you'll be able to Protect and Absorb at the same time. Remember, you can _already_ use more than one Force power at once, but some are mutually exclusive by design.
But supposedly there will be combo moves that use Force powers. Awesome! One thing I'd love to see is a general-purpose telekenetic power. Push, Pull and Grip are all great, but what about just picking up objects and moving them around? Note to map-makers: _Every_ switch, button and lever should be Force-usable! This was not true of the SP campaign in JK2, but there's no reason a map-maker can't do it that way. A big part of becoming immersed in the whole fantasy of being a Jedi is using the Force, and for me it just doesn't cut it when Force powers are useful only in combat and for certain puzzles that are engineered to be solvable only by using certain Force powers. A "Force reach-out" doesn't require a new power. Just write it into your levels' ICARUS scripts. The same is true of non-linear storylines. The map I've been working on since time immemorial has multiple endings. I hope I finish it before JK3 is actually out, but the real world intrudes, and I keep having to go do Grownup Stuff. Also, I've said this before but will reiterate it: There should be no such thing as a locked door that a Jedi can't get through! I know figuring out how to get through a locked door is a good plot device and/or basis for a puzzle for the player to solve, but there are other ways to block passage to an area that might plausibly stop even a Jedi (remember, we play a powerful Jedi but not necessarily a Yoda or a Mace Windu). I'd like a "force reach out" - player character kneels/sits/whatever and concentrates, then reaches out with the force and tells what he is able to sense.
Like some unspecific hints of what might be in the next rooms. Yeah but ignoring hardware and performance issues it would kinda make snese wouldn't it ? As jedi should be pretty aware of their surroundings most of the time.

I think what is going to be cooler is the ability to put force powers into your combos along with the saber swings. As for seeing all the time. Jake that could really cause some frame lag under certain circumstances. You haven't been on the servers when whispy is playing mine layer with the terminator on. But with about 500 mines on the ground the frame rate becomes horrible, and when you throw on seeing, it becomes even worse. Your seeing all the time could be solved with something simple called a radar. Since then you would also be able to see who is behind you. I've had a fantastic idea, which would make the game more jedi like, but would make it a bit unblanced (maybe not you decide)
Real jedi feel the force, and can sense pretty much everything around them, kinda like when you have force seeing on. My idea would be to have seeing on all the time, so you can see people all around the level, and in singleplayer, up to a few rooms ahead. The problem with this though is there would be no surprises, everyone would know where everyone else was so you couldn't hide, and it might get annoying having little transparent people all over your screen through walls.
